Uganda was represented by a diverse team at the IGAD DACAS meeting in Ethiopia: a farmer, an agripreneur, government ministries(@Maaifclf, Ministry of Gender,Ministry of water), Stanbic Bank, the IGAD Youth Envoy, ASARECA and FSRP.
Agriculture is bigger than farming. It involves finance, water, climate, gender, policy and innovation.
We need all these stakeholders at the same table, but most importantly, the farmer’s voice must never be missing from conversations about agriculture.

A beautiful intersection of generations at the IGAD regional meeting in Ethiopia.
Standing between @OgwalSam,the IGAD Special Youth Envoy and a 75-year-old agripreneur who is still actively involved in agricultural trade was a reminder that agriculture is not reserved for a particular age group.
We need the wisdom of experience, the boldness of youth and the willingness to keep learning at every stage of life.
Agriculture is a lifelong journey, and everyone has a role to play.
A leader of all people and a mentor of so many young leaders within the region. H.E @DrWorkneh. Thanks for appointing me your Youth Envoy. An opportunity I will never forget in my career life.

I’d love an opportunity to engage with students at Makerere University on faith, AI, finance, and life.
Anyone know a student leader or group that could help make this happen?

If someone offered you UGX 20 MILLION in cash today, but the condition was that you must burn your S.4 and S.6 academic certificates, would you accept the deal?

Too often, warnings come before disasters, but resources arrive only after the damage is done. This must change.
Today in Mombasa, at the 2nd Eastern Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Action, officially opened by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, H.E. @Kipmurkomen, I called for a decisive shift from early warning to early action, backed by predictable financing, stronger institutions and empowered communities.
Our success must be measured not by the disasters we respond to, but by the lives and livelihoods we protect before they strike.

Our IGAD Special Youth Envoy, Mr @OgwalSam has joined H.E @DrWorkneh, our @IGADsecretariat Executive Secretary to participate in the 1st Conference of African Defense Chiefs on Military Operations other than War taking place in Uganda.
The Conference has noted the threat of AI on continental security, with more emphasis being put on building the capability of youth through skilling and support for youth-led innovation to provide solutions. This has been adopted as part of the broader conference recommendations.
Special thanks to H.E @KagutaMuseveni and the Chief of Defense Force of Uganda, @mkainerugaba for the leadership and creation of this Vital platform.

Africa’s evolving security challenges demand not only strong, well-equipped armies, but also greater cooperation beyond the battlefield.
I joined African defense leaders at the Closing Ceremony of the inaugural African Conference of Chiefs of Defense Forces on Military Operations Other Than War in Uganda, presided by H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni.
I underscored the need for Africa’s military institutions to champion lasting peace as the foundation of development, strengthening civil-military cooperation to advance national, regional and continental prosperity.
I commend Uganda for convening this important dialogue towards a more peaceful, secure and prosperous Africa.

You must have been a good student of reported speech!😂
Anyway, @FabiusMulongo is in the city. When should we go and eat his dollars.
Davis Amooti was simply mourning his King and somehow managed to trigger Mama Uganda.
Apparently, Amooti once slid into Mama Uganda’s DMs asking for 20K, so Mama Uganda decided to release the receipts. But that wasn’t the end of the drama. Mr Mugabe also wanted to take Mama Uganda on a date because her posts illuminate humanity only for the proposal to be rejected because … he sells airtime. 😭
But plot twist! Fraine Supermarket has now offered to sponsor the date for free, and the generous tweeps are behind this cause …offering to pay once they actually go on a date.
