Legal systems are power systems. They decide who moves first, who bears risk, and who absorbs uncertainty. If you don’t design them intentionally, they design outcomes for you.

💥 When lawyers churn out impenetrable walls of legalese and call it a fair contract, they cause Lady Justice to act like a snob. 🆘 Incomprehensible contracts shut out the very people they are meant to serve. accdocket.com/legal-tech-red… #inhousecounsel #lawyers #law #lawtwitter #gc

One potential term: "Allied Legal Professional" Allied Legal Professionals cannot "practice law." But they do help provide "legal services." Janitors don't. But both are "nonlawyers."

The Health Care Industry figured this out long ago — with "Allied Health Professionals." Much more accurate than "non-physician." Are we lawyers — who pride ourselves on using words precisely — going to cede linguistic ground to docs? 🙂

Requiring #AI certifications for #lawyers has its pros and cons. However, I agree w/ @OlgaVMack that applying theoretical knowledge is more valuable than a certificate. Continuous, strategic learning and practical knowledge application could be the answer. abovethelaw.com/2024/04/ai-c…
