Israel fires a small warning shot onto the roof of a building Hamas is using. No warhead meant to bring it down. Just the knock. Get out. Then the calls, the texts, and the leaflets.
Then, if the fighters are still in there, the real strike.
This clip is Al Jazeera, live from Gaza, a correspondent in a press vest, and the knock lands on the tower behind her while she is on air. She ducks. The building is still standing. That’s the whole point of the tap.
No other army does this. Not the Americans. Not the British. Not the Russians. Not the Arabs who spent the day firing the rockets. Hamas puts the launch sites and the commanders in the apartments, and Israel still knocks on the roof before it hits them.
Then the same footage gets played as proof of a war crime. Watch it again. The warning is the explosion.

The moment I told them I was Jewish, they no longer were interested in hearing my story. Fighting for my justice. They became uncomfortable. The facade of caring for refugees and being good people disappeared, the moment my Jewish identity came out. I wasn’t knocking Palestinian alleged suffering simply introducing the story of the Jewish refugees of Arabized countries. But that apparently doesn’t deserve empathy and sympathy, only when the refugee of a certain faith, I see. Interesting.

Our Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, wants new routes so the people of Palestine can come over, be given houses, and handed the full monty. Fast-tracked to permanent settlement, no less. Straight to the front of the queue.
Now bear in mind her own lot came first. They took the keys, they took the houses, and they raped our daughters with immunity. Apparently that was not enough for her. Now she wants these people in as well, to come and finish them off.

Two little girls, running for their lives across open ground, as if they are prey. He shoots the first one in the back while she runs. The second freezes, turns round, and begs him not to kill her. He kills her anyway. Without the slightest hesitation. Not a flicker.
That is what they did on the seventh of October.
And now we are inviting them in to do it to us.

The Iranian govt has executed over 2,000 people in the past 12 months and 9 of them were public (this does not include the tens of thousands of young people murdered for daring to protest).
As far as I can see, the highly principled Jeremy Corbyn couldn’t bring himself to protest or even complain about a single one of them.
Televising a public execution is beyond disgusting and barbaric. The death penalty should not exist, let alone be a live-streamed spectacle.
This is a grotesque violation of human dignity. We must oppose this - and the death penalty - everywhere.

She sent me this photo of her scarred back after being punished with 74 lashes for the “crime” of showing her hair.
Holding a Woman, Life, Freedom slogan, she refused to be silenced. Here is her testimony:
“The morality police arrested me for resisting their van. My ‘crime’ was unveiling. After months of court hearings, I was sentenced to 74 lashes. The cleric overseeing the punishment stood there to ensure it was carried out.
I won’t give up my fight against this brutal regime, but we are fed up with living as prisoners in our own homeland.”
Seventy-four lashes. For showing her hair. In the 21st century.
This is barbarism. And you tell me, how is this different from ISIS?

I can't work out whether the people demanding Israel be dismantled in favour of a "democratic Palestine with religious freedom and equal rights for all" are utterly clueless or closet genocidal. The PA have not held election for 3 decades, Hamas for 2 decades. There's Sharia law, gross inequality between the sexes, draconian punishments for homosexuality (while Hamas and Islamic Jihad are sworn to slaughter, or at least drive all Jews out of "Palestine") yet these guys would magically morph into democratic, secular, LGBT friendly fellows the moment Israel is dismantled and an Arab/Palestinian, Hamas, PA majority take over?
