Dutch women are also far less likely to use epidurals during labor. Today, only about 20–30% receive one, compared with roughly 70–75% in the United States. In the early 2000s, the Dutch epidural rate was below 10%. This approach is rooted in a long-standing philosophy that views pregnancy and childbirth as natural life events rather than medical conditions unless complications arise. While many Western countries shifted toward physician-led, hospital-based births during the 20th century, the Netherlands preserved its midwife-centered model and integrated professionally trained midwives into the national healthcare system. Today, most low-risk pregnancies are managed by midwives, whether the birth takes place at home or in a hospital. Women who develop complications are referred to obstetricians. Despite relying less on medical intervention than many other countries, the Netherlands continues to achieve maternal and infant mortality outcomes comparable to those of other high-income nations.

Thousands of fake accounts posing as Indians and Nepalis will post misleading content and incite people on both sides making genuine people too join in. Therefore, avoid getting triggered by even genuine Nepali people, misled by propaganda, posting against India. Never engage in arguments with them and start conflicts with our Nepali brothers and sisters to inadvertently help widen fault lines for our foes. This is crucial.

India’s median age of 28 matches China’s median age nearly 30 years ago. A large chunk of China’s industrialization happened while it aged from 28 then to 41 today. Much of this was in the quasi-analog era. By 2050, its median age would be anywhere between 53-57. India’s would be 39, equivalent to the US’ today, and its population will age far slower than China’s in the decades beyond. India is a vibes-driven nation, and by that, it means the country rises when the people themselves collectively push forward. The energy of a young country stepping into the age of AI will be tremendous and nearly unmatched by any major power. Unlike China, which expended its youth years in labor-intensive manufacturing, India will harness its factors of production - land, labor, capital, technology and entrepreneurship - in unique ways. Technology and entrepreneurship will be a major driver of growth from the grassroots up. China relies heavily on institutionalizing innovation, something it has been exceptionally successful at, much like the Soviet Union in its heyday. This model will find itself increasingly constrained by a rapidly aging population. Innovation is as much a function of institutional capabilities as it is the penchant for individual risk-taking. Older populations take fewer risks and are generally slower to try out new technologies than younger ones. India’s challenge is to create the economic and regulatory conditions to unleash its full potential. AI will be a great equalizer, giving people quick and easy access to information and tools that accelerate product development, testing and use in the digital and physical worlds. The edge that traditional manufacturing powerhouses currently hold may erode with time, assuming rising competitors can provide adequate financing, incentives and natural resource inputs. India will have more people who are motivated and technologically empowered to innovate than China and the US by the middle of this century. Purely going by a numbers game, the odds of chancing upon breakthrough technologies will also be materially higher. The building blocks for this will be sovereign AI, a robust manufacturing base and natural resource security. Along side technological innovation, India will have to build infrastructure, housing and industrial facilities at a rapid pace and on scale. Simultaneously, the consumption economy will keep demand for goods and services growing. Currently, a balanced profile of consumption and production is largely absent in most countries since labor arbitrage has been seen as the most efficient path to wealth generation. AI and automation will change this. Chinese consumption is capped by its old age dependency ratio and the US’ consumption scale is capped by its absolute population. Unlike developed countries, developing ones will continue to demand labor-intensive work along side automated jobs. This will keep a large section of the population occupied, a necessity for social stability. Services-heavy developed economies are primed to suffer major disruptions as AI takes over a wide range of white collared roles. India will be relatively less impacted for at least a few decades. India’s breakout moment starts with a military success delivered largely by indigenous systems. Every country that eventually became a superpower took off with a military victory of some kind. Overcoming external constraints and challenges energizes a nation and spurs innovation. Countering existential threats forces even the most inert implement critical internal reforms. Consistently finding advanced solutions to protect sovereignty and grow the economy delivers spin-off dual use technologies. These technologies and their economic benefits are in large part, what takes a major power to superpower status.
