Virtual threads make concurrency cheaper, not unlimited.
With Jakarta EE 11 and GlassFish 8, Java apps can handle more concurrent work. But database pools, API rate limits and transaction throughput still matter.
Have virtual threads moved your bottleneck?

“With just a REST resource, a declarative Java interface, and minimal configuration, you now have an enterprise Java application that interacts with an LLM while keeping the AI provider separate from the application logic.”
How? By combining Jakarta EE with OmniHai, developers can integrate AI while maintaining a familiar, composable architecture and avoiding provider-specific code throughout the application.

What’s keeping Jakarta EE relevant?
🔸 Prevalence: Java is one of the most popular coding languages to date, powering nearly all of the domain models running the world today.
🔸 Standardisation: Its mature standards allow Java to act as a foundation for new and emerging technologies, and its solid set of specifications promotes spec-driven development.
🔸 AI integration: Since so much technology is already built around Java, AI integration will be streamlined without developers needing to learn another language. Everything they need will already be in their toolbox.
Hear directly from Jakarta EE community experts as they share their perspectives on where Jakarta EE is headed and why it continues to play a key role in modern enterprise development.

Jakarta CRaC (Coordinated Restore at Checkpoint) aims to help Jakarta EE applications take advantage of checkpoint and restore capabilities, supporting faster startup and improved efficiency.
The project focuses on:
👉 Defining a standard way to notify Jakarta EE implementations of checkpoint and restore events.
👉 Enabling applications to identify resources that need to be managed during these events.
👉 Supporting seamless integration with CRaC and InstantOn technologies.
