Today, we celebrate the men and women who stand between wildlife and extinction.
On this #WorldRangerDay, I pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice and commitment of wildlife rangers who protect Uganda's natural heritage often in challenging and dangerous conditions. Their dedication ensures that the future generations will continue to experience the beauty and wonder of our wildlife.
To every ranger, thank you for your service. Your footprints are written across Uganda's conservation success story.

Some moments remind us that kindness is never forgotten.
As this rescued chimpanzee returned to the wild, it paused to embrace Dr. Jane Goodall (RIP), a simple yet powerful gesture that touched millions around the world. Whether it was gratitude, recognition, or trust, it speaks to the extraordinary bond that can exist between humans and wildlife.
On this World Chimpanzee Day, let’s celebrate these remarkable primates and renew our commitment to protecting the forests they call home.
Because every chimp deserves a future in the wild.

It is only 21 km long, yet they have been maintaining it for over 3 years. This is unacceptable. I am very dissatisfied with the progress and the quality of the work on this road. By Monday, they should collect their equipment and leave the site - Minister @HonByamukama
