Right now I'm at MIC in Tampa, surrounded by some of the most powerful voices in the military and veteran community - warriors turned storytellers, all gathered for one reason: to make sure our stories, our sacrifices, and our brothers and sisters are never forgotten.
This is what Freedom Friday means to me this week.
Freedom isn't just what we fought for overseas. It's the platform we now have to speak truth, honor sacrifice, and remind the next generation why this country is still worth fighting for.
Being in a room full of veterans who traded their uniforms for microphones, cameras, and keyboards, all carrying the same mission forward on a different battlefield, is a powerful thing to witness.
We didn't stop serving. We just changed our weapons.
To every warrior out there right now: Keep telling the stories. Keep honoring the fallen. Keep reminding people what freedom actually costs.

The "art" & "counterculture" scene has long glorified rapists, pedophiles, pederasts and murders.
If you point this out, you're called a religious extremist or accused of feeding into 'satanic panic' paranoia.
The Horsch case highlights the rot of art has only metastasized.
Ignoring the fact that all of those things were fabricated for the movie, IN WHAT WORLD would an "ethical violation" outweigh raping a kid????

Well. @NYMag profiled my book today. I think what the article misses is that I left the party and wrote the book not because I wasn’t listened to, or felt slighted, but because democrats and progressives invested in policies that were morally wrong
Until there is a true reckoning inside the party, these past problems will continue to haunt them

Good news, bad news, and next steps…
Good: big liver surgery last week successfully cleared out a bunch o cancer. (Pretty darn great — considering 9 mons ago, when told I had 3-4 months to live, surgery wasn't even an option.)
Bad: Tests on the tumors show they were more advanced than we thought — meaning always-mutating tumors have developed some resistance tricks to our former treatment protocol.
Bummer but that's life, and was eventually expected.
Next:
We're gunna change up treatment to carpet-bomb-chemo as much of the rest of the cancer as we can for a bit.
Send chemo tips -- do NOT send more Nickelback promotional materials (am painfully aware they’ll be performing at the Hondo Rodeo Fest in Febr).
Grateful to God for this extra time — both time w/ fam and time to fight. Can't say enough good things about…

🚨INCREDIBLE: During a multi-vehicle collision on the Route 90 bridge in Ocean City, Maryland, a 2-year-old girl was ejected from a pickup truck, falling nearly 30 feet into the Assawoman Bay below.
Jonathan Bauer, who was driving across the bridge with his teenage daughter when the crash occurred, rushed over to inspect the wreckage. Looking down into the water, he saw the toddler floating face down and becoming unresponsive.
Without hesitation, Bauer instructed his daughter to flag down first responders, removed his shoes, and leapt off the bridge into the bay. He swam to the little girl, lifted her onto his shoulder, and patted her back until she coughed up water and began breathing again.
A passing pontoon boat quickly navigated toward them, pulling both Bauer and the toddler out of the water and transporting them to shore, where emergency personnel were waiting. The child was airlifted to a regional medical center for evaluation and released the following day in good condition.
Bauer was later honored by local law enforcement and civic leaders for his decisive actions and selflessness.

Big update on the 764 front:
A 17-year-old from Maine became the first juvenile to be federally charged and adjudicated for his role in the 764 child exploitation network.
The teen was charged with conspiring to sexually exploit a child, sexually exploiting and enticing a child, distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sending interstate threats, cyberstalking victims, and identity theft.
The FBI said it hopes that publicizing this case will send a strong message to other juvenile offenders in the network that their age won't shield them from federal charges.
