Jordan Walker, Cardinals nominee for the Clemente Award, has a charity Walkers Winners. Some of us donated after his HR Derby, and now after the season I’ve donated $29 for each HR. Join me and make his great year have an even greater impact

The Angels have lost their 100th game for the first time in franchise history.
This means that the team with the longest stretch of not losing 100 games is your St Louis Cardinals (tied with the Dodgers) who have not lost 100 games in 118 years, since 1908.
Thanks, Mo.
In 2025 the Cardinals were 9 games over .500, and tumbled to 6 games under .500 to end the season.
In 2026 the Cardinals were 9 games over .500, and tumbled to 8 games under .500 to end the season.
Well there it is. Goodbye 2026. Lots to have enjoyed. Lots to have detested. Someday, only the good memories will remain.
Please let there be a full 2027.
You have to hand it to Brewers fans enthusiastically showing up for game 162, rousing applaud for RBI 100 - good and deserving fanbase.
An absolutely magical number from my childhood was Pedro Guerrero driving in 117 runs in 1989. Burly had 116 going into today.

"Ken Boyer did everything well, hitting for power, average and playing Gold-Glove defence.
So why is he not in the Baseball HOF?
Because third base is probably the most underrepresented position in the Hall. It’s just hard to get in as a third baseman.
Third base is the Hall of Fame’s biggest mess."
Eddie Daniels.
Ken Boyer was signed in 1949 out of high school by the Cardinals as a pitcher, but his bat proved more formidable.
He had a 3.42 ERA, but a .455 average for the Class D Lebanon Chix.
In Havana in 1954, Ken Boyer’s winter-ball stint ended abruptly when fastball hit him behind his left ear, resulting in a severe concussion that left him unconscious for three days.
Ken Boyer made an unsuccessful attempt to resume play, but was forced to return home instead.
11 All-Star selections,
Five-time Gold Glove winner,
National League MVP in 1964, leading the Cardinals to a World Series Championship. He hit over .300 five times;
Hit over 20 HR`s eight times, retired with the third highest slugging average EVER by a third baseman (.462).
Drove in 90 runs eight times, still the only Cardinal to hit for the Cycle TWICE!
Ken Boyer’s 12 career walk-off hits remain the most for any player since 1950.
Over his career, hit .287, 2,143 hits, 282 HR, 1,141 RBI, 1,104 runs, 318 doubles, 68 triples, 105 stolen bases.
Ken Boyer.
ALWAYS in my HOF!
Another member of the ‘64 team, Jeoff Long has passed away. His one career homer was a highlight - a monumental shot that got a diagram picture write up in the paper. RIP.
