Coming from Arc Raiders, its really interesting seeing the how the Call of Duty community interacts with an extraction shooter. (not talking about dmz og's but warzone/multiplayer players) Its a pretty strong split. A lot of them think every thing you do in the game should be about getting as many kills as you possibly can, and winning every lobby. (i get it, im a warzone guy too) But a lot of them are learning that DMZ, much like Arc Raiders has a ton of stuff on the PvE side of things that are really fun to engage with, and grind. Story missions, DMZ orders, boss fights (although they could be better in DMZ), building insane loot routes, irradiated containers, bank puzzles, key rooms, bunkers, and so much more. I am not advocating for PvE only, or a PvE mode in DMZ like I did with Arc Raiders because fighting players is the life blood of Call of Duty and should always be. But PvP only players will scream at the top of their lungs, that there's no possible way someone can enjoy the PvE aspects of a game, and that PvP is the only way to have fun. When these games have built insanely deep, and layered PvE systems that players want to explore.
Story Mission Matchmaking in MW4 DMZ appears to have been PATCHED: 💥 Lobbies are now super PVP again, which is sad — I was enjoying engaging with the PVE Systems. I don’t mind PVP, but it’s a problem when it limits gameplay content.

Insane Raid! Most of my top raids are loot routes I run This was a solo PvP match where i somehow ended up against all duos. Wiped 3 different teams Started with the blue Nyx ended up with a gold Nyx and a purple M4 and the gold backpack and purple plate vest One of the teams had just taken out a tank too so I got free gold prototype RF modules 🤣

DMZ is ALREADY getting a new map! Its called X01 and its located at the very edge of Hajin Its described as a more PvP heavy map! If this is the kind of updates DMZ is getting all year, its going to be an amazing year!
We've got a lot coming your way in Season 1. New Multiplayer maps and modes, new weapons, and a whole new Exclusion Zone to explore in DMZ. And then there's X01… 👀 Season 1 of #MW4 begins November 6.

FINALLY broke 200k This run is insane and repeatable with time to spare And I wasted a slot on a battery for next run, and some keys I should have left behind. I easily passed up another 30k

A LOT of people are misunderstanding what I’m saying here. They think I’m saying DMZ good, Arc Raiders bad No! I love Arc Raiders What I’m saying is that when this version of DMZ got announced I was screaming every chance I got that DMZ needed to look at everything amazing about arc raiders, and inject that into DMZ. And they did! Look at work benches and upgrading them, look at crafting, look at weapon manuals and crafting recipes. They also took some of Arc Raiders weak points, and fixed them. A good example is quests in Arc Raiders vs Story Missions in DMZ The quests in Arc Raiders should be more than “go here and press the interact button” and DMZ took quests and made them into 10-20 minute challenging missions that feel rewarding to actually complete This isn’t hate on Arc Raiders, more so appreciation that Arc Raiders pushed call of duty to put out an insanely good product.
I’m going yo say it since no one else will DMZ took everything Arc Raiders does well, then took all the things Arc Raiders failed at and fixed those. Then applied all of that to Call of Duty mechanics like movement, gunplay, and world building. The only thing DMZ is missing is some really challenging strategic boss fights. Right now the AI just swarm and bullet sponge as they get stronger. We need a boss that requires strategizing, bringing specialized equipment, much like the matriarch/frigate/emperor form Arc Raiders

The biggest difference I've noticed between DMZ and Arc Raiders is no body, and I mean no body in DMZ uses a microphone Every single Arc Raiders player, PvE or PvP is in prox chat. I need the call of duty community to figure it out

Have we figured out why the F.O.B. keeps changing back and forth between barebones to fully decked out? I thought it was based on upgrading, but it keeps going back to the barebones version every so often.

i always have a question in my mind that bothers me. WHO ARE YOU TO TELL PEOPLE HOW TO ENJOY A DAMN GAME !!?? I've been seeing a lot of pve / pvp discussions online and my only take on this is that LET THE PEOPLE PLAY THE GAME HOWEVER THEY WANT TO PLAY IT ! both options should be available. it's really not that complicated.

As someone who dropped out of college for web development/web design Vibe coding has to be one of the most satisfying feelings. I have just enough knowledge to understand what to tell Claude I want, and what's wrong when something's not how I want it, but I'm also just stupid enough that I'd never be able to build these myself. I've built so many personal tools in the past month, and I have so much more on the way One example is what I'm calling my Ad-Board Its a tool that creates a rotating panel for my socials, merch, website in the future, and anything else i want to add later like brand sponsors. Its all created in the tool, and it outputs a browser source I can put into OBS to hover above my camera. All animations are done in the tool. No Adobe After Effects, no looping .mp4, .webm, .mov files Just a browser source that updates live anytime i make a change. New command in chat for twitch drops? would take me 30 seconds to add a !drops slide to the list and put it in rotation. This is one of many thing's I've built or have in the works to build.

I left CoD to lock in on Arc raiders for the last year, and found myself deep in a massive PvE Arc Raiders community. And I can promise you there are a large amount of people who do not care about player vs player tension and enjoy the world arc raiders built and how smart and difficult the AI enemies are, and doing all of the PvE grind-y stuff (for arc it was like 37% of players dedicated solely to PvE, only 27 dedicated solely to PvP, and 36% that are mixed). I personally think DMZ should not go down the PvE road because call of duty's foundation is player vs player gameplay, but there is 10000% a large enough player base that doesn't give a damn about ever seeing another player that the game companies feel forced to listen to them. Just looking at the data from these two surveys from arc raiders and dmz beta tell you that PvE preference is not an insignicant amount of players.
Replying to @TheTacticalBrit
You and a lot of others will say lack of pvp kills the tension, but people that are not good get more than enough tension from the AI. Especially the pvp being as bad as it is in the game and its so far off I dont think its salvageable.

🚨DON'T SELL THESE ITEMS in DMZ🚨 If you're just getting started in DMZ and dont know what items to keep, you'll need all of these items for your Level 1 FOB stations/benches If you guys like this I'll do one for level 2 and level 3

Tips if you're just getting started in DMZ 1) If you need easy money, do the in-raid contracts. They're the green phone symbols all around the map and they give you decent money for completing them and extracting. You can easily complete 3-4 per raid. 2) If you're running out of stash space, use your extra operators to store items from your inventory. You have multiple operators you can use in DMZ, but if you have one or two you're not using, throw a blue medium backpack on them, and that will give you 13 inventory item stash slots per operator + the extra consumable slots + 2 weapon slots per operator. 3) If you're early in the game, low level, or nervous about losing weapons, just take one weapon per raid, kill the first AI enemy you see and pick up their HAN 86. The base HAN 86 is insanely good especially against AI, and will do you a lot of good until you've leveled up and have an inventory full of weapons you're willing to lose 4) Try your best not to sell any loot at first, there's a lot of items in the game that seem useless, but I promise, a lot of them are used to upgrade benches, your stash, your bank, and other things. Good example is Rigid Synthetics, Reactive Metals, and infantry invasion plans.

ARC Raiders Player Thoughts on DMZ: 1) Felt super smooth, movement and visibility and gunplay all felt really good. Classic CoD feel which is exactly what they needed to get back to. 2) AI were really well balanced, the low tier enemies were easy to kill but if you let them swarm, things get really tense. The higher tier enemies are really difficult but I don't like bullet sponge enemies. I wish they took a little more strategy like shooting for knees to tank their mobility, then aiming for headshots to knock helmet off and so forth. 3) Looting felt so much better than OG DMZ, i actually felt like I was looking for specific items for upgrades. Honestly coming back from Arc, that felt exactly like the looting in Arc Raiders, and if I'm being honest Arc made looting feel perfect. 4) Biggest complaint is lack of player interactions, no matter if hostile or friendly. I played for 5 hours, probably 10-15 raids, ran into 5 total players... and I was looking. I was constantly popping UAV towers. Need more player interactions. 5) The FOB feels great, feels exactly like Arc Raiders with how you're leveling work benches and finding specific materials to level benches up and craft items. Perfect 10/10 no notes. Arc Raiders should have made their outpost exactly like this. 6) Vehicles felt decent, a good balance of easy to drive, but also chaotic and all over the place in some moments. Not OP, but not awful to drive. 7) Orders/Side-Op's/in-game contracts all felt really well done. Lots of variety of things to do. Lots of stuff that takes you all over the map, wish Arc Raiders did more of this with their quests where you have to do more variety of things, and complete more challenging tasks. Arc raiders needs a computer bench in the outpost where you can accept challenges and contracts to complete. 8) Traits/skill-tree whatever you wanna call it is really good. I like that you have to make decisions on what you want to take vs what you're willing to pass on. I also like that you're able to complete a path on all 3 branches. 9) Having different Operators, and being able to prestige them is going to be a ton of fun. Arc raiders could use something like this. Grinding an operator to (I'm guessing) master prestige will be an insanely rewarding gameplay loop with insane traits available when you prestige them all the way up. 10) Idk how much this game will have for longevity, but at least so far, it feels like there's a ton to do with upgrades in your FOB, weapon leveling, operator leveling.
