ALT Fighting for lower utility bills—even in court! OPC doesn't just advocate before regulators; we also represent Maryland utility customers in court. Earlier this month, Deputy People’s Counsel Jake Ouslander argued before the Appellate Court of Maryland to defend 2024 legislation created to protect your wallet. House Bill 864 aimed to save utility customers millions of dollars by lowering the interest utilities can earn on a large unpaid balance of program costs.
