This #BritishFoodFortnight, we’re celebrating the farmers who bring British food & farming closer to the people. Through #OpenFarmSunday, 2,573 farmers have opened their gates over 20 years, including 71 first-time hosts this year, helping connect people with food & farming.

“It’s great seeing how passionate farmers are about their work & how they are adapting along with environmental changes.” Open Farm Sunday gives visitors the chance to see how farmers adapt to changing conditions while producing food, helping build trust in the food system.

This year, Open Farm Sunday welcomed 196,000 visitors, with 64% attending for the first time. The result? More trust & a stronger connection between people & the farms that produce their food. In fact, 91% of visitors said their trust in British food & farming increased.
