๐Ÿค Welcoming Our Second Sponsor: The Linux Foundation! We are proud to welcome The Linux Foundation as the second sponsor of OpenInfra Days Kenya 2026! Open infrastructure is built on collaboration. From operating systems and cloud platforms to container orchestration and AI infrastructure, open-source technologies provide the foundation for the digital world. The Linux Foundation plays a vital role in this ecosystem by providing a neutral home for open-source projects and communities that develop, maintain, and advance foundational technologies. A shared vision for open infrastructure The connection between The Linux Foundation and OpenInfra runs deeper than a shared commitment to open source. The Open Infrastructure Blueprint brings together three foundational technologies: ๐Ÿ”น Linux โ€“ The operating system foundation powering infrastructure across the world. ๐Ÿ”น OpenStack โ€“ Open-source software for building and managing private and public clouds. ๐Ÿ”น Kubernetes โ€“ Container orchestration technology enabling applications to run and scale across infrastructure. Together, these technologies provide a powerful foundation for building, operating, and scaling modern infrastructure. The OpenInfra Foundation, now part of the Linux Foundation, continues to support infrastructure projects including OpenStack, Kata Containers, StarlingX, and Zuul. These projects address critical infrastructure challenges spanning cloud computing, container isolation, edge computing, and CI/CD. This alignment reflects a shared commitment to open collaboration, infrastructure innovation, and building technology ecosystems that are accessible, sustainable, and driven by communities. As we prepare for OpenInfra Days Kenya 2026, we are excited to bring together the people building, deploying, and maintaining the open infrastructure that powers our digital future. We are grateful to The Linux Foundation for supporting this vision and helping strengthen the open-source ecosystem in Africa ๐Ÿ˜Š .
