I lectured on the "ETH false" (#3SAT in subexponential time) result in my grad complexity class at CMU today.
Didn't have time in 80 mins to do the full proof, but I hope I got across the main plan, and some of the basic TCS ingredients going into it.

How many worlds are we at now? We've added Obfustopia, microcrypt, what else am I missing?
Earlier this year, we experimentally demonstrated a digital signature scheme on Quantinuum's trapped ion quantum computer. This is a digital signature scheme that theoretically could be secure even in a world where P = NP. It necessarily requires a quantum computer to operate.
arxiv.org/pdf/2602.04859
The security of the scheme rests on a microcrypt assumption that it is computationally hard to reverse-engineer a random quantum circuit, based on its outputs.

Weird how they’ve found so many amazing things and yet not one single result related to practical cryptanalysis. I guess everyone should pat themselves on the back for a job well done.
We are announcing three new discoveries in mathematics, computer science, and physics about harmonic analysis, complexity theory, and quantum field theory.

And if you choose the DC option you’d have a great local community at @JHUBloombergCtr

How should two agents collaborate if they hold different information?
We are 95% certain they should communicate their uncertainty.
🚨In our new NeurIPS paper we show that communicating calibrated probabilities can benefit collaborative decision-making!

How do you even generate an RSA key with d=4, I ask, not wanting to be told the answer.
Yes! More of this, please! Distilling new results to their simplest (and most presentable) formulation is a massive service to the research community and should be valued accordingly. Shachar and Sankeerth (@sankeerth1729) are doing fantastic work.
I want to highlight 2 theorists who have distinguished themselves as true scholars:
Sankeerth Rao Karingula (@sankeerth1729) & Shachar Lovett
They have done exceptional work in simplifying and expositing recent breakthroughs on Komlos, 3SUM, etc.
They have my highest respect.
