{ I don’t even know what I was thinking when I chose that degree; I struggled through it, studying from dawn till dawn. /sobs/ }

Slàine nodded in admiration upon learning that Mentari worked in an intellectually demanding field (at least, according to him. Anything involving mathematics and chemistry was enough to make his head spin. Fuck maths and chemistry, really). His eyes lit up with genuine interest.
“... industry, to be precise.”
There was a strange feeling when she described herself as a pharmacist. Although there was nothing wrong with that, it was just that her skills were now mostly applied to critical thinking about a product rather than to providing a patient care.
As Mentari didn’t want the conversation to end just like that, she also felt curious about the man: “What do @blissfulhim get up to on a daily basis?”
“Thank you for helping me and I’m sorry for causing you trouble. Please tell me the total, then.”
Without being asked, Mentari took the man’s bag and placed it on her lap. She had no ulterior motive; she simply wanted to help, and as it happened, that was all she could do.
“I’m Mentari. How about @blxckbold?” Mentari asked him softly. “And ... are you a doctor?”
