Video generation is not new but at @Simulon the keyword was always about control. How do you navigate through vfx with the least friction possible? How do you maximise creativity? Impossible question but I think a path of the answer is here!
Introducing Reality-Aware Rendering in @Simulon, a completely new way to create with the real world. Place neural assets with your phone and act out the scene. When you stop recording, Simulon renders the take, reading everything in it (what you do, what you say and the place around you), and your assets respond to all of it. The final is regenerated from your recording: a new performance of the scene, not a copy of the footage. Available now on iPhone. Coming to Android soon.

Since the whole AI thingy, this is probably the most mind blowing app I've tested. @Simulon

Too many times I’ve been asked how I know what I know and sometimes how I solve certain problems. When I try to explain, there are more questions than answers. I’ve just learnt about Polanyi’s paradox: we can know more than we can tell.

I was amazed when I realized someone close to me cannot cook with it on account of anointing oil.
This is one of the best oils you can use to fry eggs and cook noodles, but in Nigeria, no cooking school can recommend it. Why? Because our pastors have turned the oil into “Jesus oil” that you can buy and use to pray online. 😂😭 ~ A man talking about Goya olive oil as one of the best oils for frying eggs.

We need human-centric developers. Starting a business or creating an app is not enough in a society still plagued by rudimentary problems.
A Glovo dispatch rider said he went to pick up an order but ended up spending more than two hours trying to collect it. He said that if he redispatches the order, Glovo will block him. He also revealed that last week, he was blocked three times because he had to redispatch orders that were taking too long to pick up. ~ A Glovo rider is calling on the company to do something about the issue.

Talk about standards and basics. I believe there should be a standards organization or some legislation for public safety!
Frustrated student of a popular private university calls out the management after locking a private restroom he and his 10 roommates renovated, while the school continues to ignore their request to install a lock on their room door 😭

I understand the political need to point fingers at one party or the other, but as you well know, looking at the data shows the outcome has always been the same regardless of the leader or party. The system needs an overhaul.

One country supplies 75% of the world’s cobalt, and no one has thought to give credit. 🌍

Day 9/101 Shipping A global smartphone launch means millions of devices moving through factories, warehouses, aircraft, ships, trucks and shops. That entire logistics network has a footprint. Perhaps the greenest phone is sometimes the one already in your hand. #101Reasons

Day 8/101 Water Semiconductor manufacturing requires huge amounts of highly purified water. So when we talk about producing millions of new phones every year, we’re also talking about substantial water consumption. Longevity is an environmental feature too 😢 #101Reasons

Day 7/101 Manufacturing energy A significant part of a phone’s environmental impact happens before you ever switch it on. Manufacturing consumes enormous amounts of energy. Using devices longer may be one of the simplest ways to reduce that footprint. Maybe there’s a future where sustainable energy could power manufacturing. #101Reasons

Day 6/101 Rare-earth materials Modern smartphones contain an extraordinary collection of materials from around the world. Some are difficult to extract and difficult to recycle. A longer product cycle means getting more value from every gram already taken from the earth. #101Reasons

Day 5/101 Nickel A new phone isn’t created out of thin air. Metals have to be mined, refined, transported and manufactured. If the improvement is tiny, perhaps extending the life of the existing device creates more value than replacing it. #101Reasons
