I said it once on my and I will say it again…I am here for Marvel Tokon until the day they shut the servers. Maybe even after that.
Hopefully people who are playing can focus on playing and sharing tech, the online discourse clearly means very little.

I don't know if people are mad, sad, or glad about fighting games on twitter today. I usually avoid being on this app as much as possible.
I do know if people talk positively about a game, they're going to be called a shill, sellout, or blindly supporting a game while neglecting the downsides.
If people talk negatively about a game, they're doomers or toxic.
I don't think it matters either way. I just play games I like and have fun with my friends.
While I've been pretty mad at the input reader, and some mechanics feel unintuitive, I've been having a ton of fun playing Tokon with my roommates. I still suck ass and mash too much, but it's definitely been a good time.
Whether you're an OG, pro player, content creator, or just a casual, try to remember that we all started in the FGC because we were having fun.
PlayStation skipping PC must be making the guys who rely on Steam Charts sick to their stomach. I bet the Wolverine haters are itching at the blood and distraught they can’t post them every time there is a lull. 😂
Gonna take this time to step back from matches and learn each individual character on my team through and through. Just changed my point to Loki anyway.
Really looking forward to this update. The real grind begins. 💪

Thank you all for your continued passion, patience, and support.
Twitch streamers gotta stop letting their mods puff their chest out too much. That has legit made me unfollow and block channels. Dudes need to get their chat in order, and most times it’s monitoring how your mods do your business.
When @NetherRealm is back, I am gonna be hard to listen to. Not turning my back on home sweet home again, not for a damn thing.
Overwatch has had longer to get things right. Rivals is perfectly happy just milking its massive base for money right now. In due time they will have to evolve like OW did, and who knows what happens then.

Many MANY of you are partly at fault for your own disappointment with these new fighting games. By that I mean, yall are addicts. Chasing a high you not gonna get again, chasing that feeling UMVC3 gave you, Fighterz or whatever other tag game or 1 v 1 game. Yall are trying to artificially create "moments" instead of just focusing on what game is in front of you and playing it. The constant neediness of "this game gotta do crazy numbers, this game gotta be revolutionary, this game will save the FGC, it gotta change the game". Every single one of you, be it viewer, streamer, content creator ect. that says this, are your own worst enemy. You all play a role in the disappointment of recent fighters.
And what makes this even more ironic is while yall say all that, you do it while dogging on other games, shitting on how they look, steam numbers and such. Then when YOUR game comes out finally you been looking forward to and its not doing so hot, now youre somber. Now youre sad, hurt, dejected. Funny how the fighter everyone slandered for looking like a flash game has folks actually rallying around it while the "next big thing" is already having doomer talks from its "supporters".

Mortal Kombat has a HUGE Gen X following that loves the hell out of this genre & I’m definitely one of them. 😂
MK is a household name at this point. Modern fighting games just need time to build that same level of recognition, history, and staying power.
You can’t manufacture 30+ years of establishment overnight. 🐉🔥

Believing that Republicans and Democrats are different, or one is better than the other, is like believing in Santa Claus…but for adults in the United States of America.
We need to address the elephant in the room. Fighting games just aren’t doing well in this generation. For the million reasons we have already heard and a million more,
Only Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Tekken are comfortable. “FGC” is complaining more than supporting.
I was playing the first Mortal Kombat game when it was the only Mortal Kombat out at the time. The only one I didn’t play extensively was MK1. It’s going to be hard to forgive NetherRealm for that one.

Sometimes it feels like
we’re living in a time
where people are
proud of the things
they should be
ashamed of.
At some point all gamers need to rally behind this. We have to make a future of digital ownership. If you buy a copy, that should be your copy forever.
🚨 SONY, YOU'RE FULL OF SH#T!
HERE’S THE PART THAT MAKES THIS WHOLE DIGITAL “PURCHASE” ARGUMENT LOOK RIDICULOUS.
If I walk into a store and buy a $1,500 NVIDIA GPU, I pay for it, take it home, install it in my PC, and that graphics card belongs to me.
NVIDIA still owns the technology behind it. They own the patents. They own their software. They own their trademarks.
But they do not own the GPU sitting inside my house.
They cannot come back three years later because I didn’t use my PC enough and say, “Sorry Man, your access to that graphics card has been revoked.”
They cannot remotely remove it from my case because their Terms of Service changed.
They cannot tell me I misunderstood the words “buy and purchase"
I paid for the product. I own the product.
So why has gaming somehow convinced itself that paying $70 or $80 tp $100 for a game should mean something completely different?
I’m not asking to own Sony’s intellectual property. I’m not asking to own Naughty Dog, Bungie, the source code, the servers, or the PlayStation brand.
I am saying the license I paid for should belong to me in perpetuity.
That is the digital equivalent of owning the GPU in my PC.
Sell me the license. Tie it to my account. Let me download it again. Let me keep using it as long as the software and hardware can run it.
But don’t take my money under a button that says BUY or PURCHASE and then hide behind legal language that says I never really bought anything.
If the industry wants to sell temporary permission, call it temporary permission.
If you call it a purchase, then the consumer should walk away owning something meaningful.
That is where this fight needs to go next.
Digital isn’t the problem.
Ownership is.
Kudos to @G27Status for continuing to put these issues in front of gamers and forcing people to actually think about what we are paying for.

What’s actually some loser shit is thinking that streaming means you want it to be a “career”. That’s a hobby, not a lifestyle.
Trust me, I have no intentions or time to make streaming a career. 😂
