We fixed a memory leak in our IP geolocation service - lookup results were never freed after each request, causing memory to silently grow to ~3GB over 6 days. Now patched with proper deallocation.

The IPInfo.ES API server has been entirely refactored in Zig with the help of Claude Opus 4.6. By phasing out the previous Go/Gin version, we have successfully increased our API response speeds by over 500%. Please enjoy the highly optimized infrastructure.

Status Update: IPv4 services are back online. We are observing a delay in IPv6 route propagation due to upstream filtering updates. Since IPv6 is not assigned to most users, general connectivity remains unaffected. We expect full IPv6 convergence shortly.

Network Update: We are pleased to announce that network connectivity has been fully restored. Global routing propagation is complete, and all services are operational. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update: The outage was caused by a faulty switch, which has now been replaced. Our gateway is back up, and we are waiting for the network routes to propagate to the remaining servers. We expect everything to be fully operational within a few hours.

Update on Fremont, CA network status: An outage occurred on Jan 31 local time. Diagnosis confirmed a hardware issue. We are in the process of an expedited replacement of optical modules to restore connectivity. Thank you for your understanding as we work to resolve this.
