We will have a comfortable day ahead of us, with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to the upper 60s, with the coldest locations across northern Pennsylvania. Expect mostly sunny skies, although a few clouds can stick around north of I-80 into the afternoon hours. Pennsylvania Weather Daily ⛅ Thursday, October 29 Good morning, Pennsylvania, happy Thursday! We have another nice day ahead of us with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and high temperatures ranging from the low 60s to the low 70s, with the warmest regions in western Pennsylvania. Temperatures will be as much as 10 - 15 degrees above average in parts of western PA. SAY IT AIN'T RAIN! There will be some rain showers and downpours after 8 PM across far northwestern Pennsylvania as a cold front moves into the region. As this front passes through tonight, areas across far northern Pennsylvania may pick up between a Trace to 0.20" of rain, with Erie being the "bullseye" with locally higher rainfall amounts. The next chance for widespread rain continues to be pushed back, likely into the November 5 - 8 timeframe. Temperatures will likely remain as much as 10+ degrees above average as we head into the first week of November! It will be another beautiful day across the state, with high temperatures ranging from the low 60s to low 70s. We will see more cloud cover than we've been accustomed to as of late, as upper-level moisture will allow areas of high-level cirrus clouds to pass through the region. Overall, it will be another wonderful day. We will see a warming trend tomorrow and Friday, before temperatures drop back to seasonal levels for the weekend. Pennsylvania Weather Daily ☀️ Tuesday, October 27 Good morning, Pennsylvania, happy Tuesday! We have another mostly sunny day ahead of us, although there may be times of high-level cirrus clouds that pass through. High temperatures will range from the mid-50s to mid-60s across the state. Portions of northern/eastern Pennsylvania will be cooler as a moisture-starved weak cold front passed through the state last night. Overall, it will be another BEAUTIFUL fall day. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT... A chilly fall night is ahead across Pennsylvania, with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s and 40s by Tuesday morning. Frost isn’t expected, but a few of the coldest valleys will get close! The coolest temperatures will be across the Northern Tier and north-central PA, where lows fall to around 36-39°. Places like Bradford, St. Marys, Mansfield, Smethport, Towanda and Coudersport will be the coolest. Most of central PA sits around 40-43°, with State College, Williamsport, Lock Haven and Clearfield in that range. Southern PA is a bit milder in the low to mid 40s, with Carlisle, York, Lancaster and Harrisburg around 42-46°. Pittsburgh stays in the low to mid 40s, Erie holds in the upper 40s thanks to the lake, and Philadelphia is the mildest spot, in the low 50s. 🥶 Overall, a cool night is on the way, so grab a jacket for Tuesday morning! TURNING WARM FOR HALLOWEEN... Here is the latest 6 - 10 day temperature outlook by the CPC, for the period valid between October 31st - November 4th. There are high probabilities of observing above-average temperatures within this time period. Since our average temperature is dropping quickly as we head toward winter, "above average" temperatures are no longer "hot". Regardless, it is likely we see temperatures in the mid 60s to lower 70s as we head into this time period, so quite warm for this time of year. It looks warm for much of the eastern part of the country, including across the Northeast, Ohio Valley, and Mid-Atlantic! ☀️It also looks to be mostly dry. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT... Another chilly fall night is ahead across Pennsylvania, with temperatures dropping into the 30s by Saturday morning. Frost is possible across much of the state, with some spots near freezing! The coldest readings will be across the Northern Tier and parts of south-central PA, where lows fall to around 31-34°F. Places like Bradford, Carlisle, York, Lancaster, and Easton could be right at or just above freezing. Most of central PA sits in the mid to upper 30s, while Pittsburgh and Philadelphia stay a bit milder in the upper 30s to low 40s, and Erie holds in the mid 40s thanks to the lake. PEAK COLOR IS HERE IN PENNSYLVANIA! 🍂🍁 Many areas across the state are reaching High/Peak color, especially along and north of I-80 and across the Laurel Highlands and even in the Poconos. The recent stretch of cool nights, followed by sunny, calm days, has made colors POP across the state. Make sure to soak up the upcoming stretch of sunny and calm conditions, as many areas are now beginning to enter the "past peak" stage, with leaves beginning to fall off the trees. There is basically no rain forecasted for the next 7 days, so make sure to make plans to visit your local park or trail! 🍂🍁What is the foliage situation in your area?
