“...alumni candidates are the first wave of neo-Obamas.They're doing what their old boss asked them to. Action is a hallmark of Obamaism, true to its community-organizing roots. Don't boo, vote, he'd say... Today, the message is don't resist, run” goo.gl/Ptdbca

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Is the Democratic party's organizing apparatus stuck in 2008? @yasminradjy: "We talk to voters way too late, the conversations are way too transactional, and a lot of the limitations are because of opinionated technology."

Maybe the most disgusting political ad in living memory. And then this statement by the campaign embracing the message - just completely morally bankrupt and depraved. Hope everyone is taking a moment to be shocked!
Ramaswamy doubles down. “We don’t know what happened between Amy and her mother, who first spoke out about Amy in 2020, but we know that Amy Acton is a serial fabulist who has some serious problems with the truth,” Connie Luck, his spox, said. nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/po…

Amen Amy - we have your back!
.@amyactonoh on Vivek Ramaswamy's abhorrent campaign ad: "I won't normalize somebody who has said that my childhood is 'something I'm just complaining about,' who today, just released an ad using my birth mother, who I was removed from at the age of 12 for severe abuse and neglect and sexual abuse... The words our leaders use matter and I think it's gonna take courage right now from all of us to stop normalizing this sort of rhetoric."

Grateful for this level of support going to Dems. Amazing! But to everyone complaining about campaign spending: you plan and staff a race with zero money, then get hit with a tidal wave of cash in the final weeks that's almost impossible to spend efficiently. We should talk about this more!
NYT: Bloomberg Gives Democrats $80 Million in 11th-Hour Midterm Push The money from the former New York City mayor and megadonor, who is focused on ensuring a sizable Democratic House majority, will help cut into Republicans’ financial advantage. nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/bl…

The ultimate underrated strategy for winning is just doing a good job.
"After weighing these factors, Paulk has decided for the first time in his life to cast a ballot for a Democrat -- incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff. He doesn't agree with the Democrats on all issues -- notably, abortion -- but it's Ossoff's help in getting federal aid after Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on Paulk's grape crop that won his vote"

What Vivek Ramaswamy has done here is despicable beyond words
Amy Acton's brother slams Vivek Ramaswamy featuring her estranged mother in a campaign ad. "After he was arrested and Amy and I were removed from their custody, our birth mother stayed married to Amy’s rapist until he died. This desperate, disgusting attack reveals exactly who Vivek Ramaswamy is at his core – a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt anyone as long as it gets him what he wants."

Savvy move, and he's right. I will continue to beat this drum: now is the time to invest time and money in MS...plus KS, NE, SC. Laser focus on the path to 51 can, should and will happen in October but if there's ever a cycle where one of these races might end up on the map...
NEW: Pete Buttigieg thinks Democrats should expand their list of Senate seat targets to include Mississippi. He’s endorsing Scott Colom. “In almost any other year, and with almost any other candidate, a race like this would seem out of reach,” Buttigieg told me. ms.now/news/pete-buttigieg-s… @MSNOWNews

Imagine growing up in absolute dirt poverty in east Tennessee, daughter of a tobacco farmer, going to school wearing rags your mother stitched into a coat, and when you die the British royal family has its military band play your up-the-workers country-pop anthem in tribute.

this was a very fun afternoon. it's hard to find a more inspiring story than Josh's. He's a phenomenal candidate - the type of public servant we should all want in office: earnest, relentless, and in it for the right reasons. and his team is excellent. worthing checking out!

Keeping a close eye on the changing of the guard in Philly. For 20+ years its been common knowledge that the Dem Committee is a house of cards. Feels like the change moment may finally be here.
After Tuesday's defeat of Philly's Dem establishment, thought I'd re-up this banger from 2 years ago. New Party leadership is something establishment Dems & progressives should unite on, so Philly can become a turnout behemoth for beating back fascism. inquirer.com/opinion/comment…
