The odd thing here is that, uniquely (as far as I know), the PZM had all 16 riders come out again on parade, in finishing order, AFTER the 1976 final. Talk about rub it in for the losers.
Like many riders, PC chose the Citroen Safari estate as his favoured mode of transport in 1978. He bought this with one with some of his £10,000 winnings as the first Master of Speedway champion.
Interesting item of memorabilia from THAT year, 1976. It's PC's contract agreement with TT Leathers. Note they were due to pay him a £100 bonus for winning the world title (hope he let them know of his Katowice deeds within the stipulated 10-day notification period!).
