Given the fact that the cost of college exploded after the government got into the student loan business, it speaks to reason and basic economic principles that the cost of college will go down if the government gets out of the student loan business.
Regardless, the Democratsโ concerns about the high cost of college is an exercise in duplicity. The real reason why getting the government out of the student loan business upsets them so much is because it makes it harder for them to hold younger voters hostage with student loan debt caused by the same government intervention that they championโ and anyone who believes that wasnโt the Democratic Partyโs plan from the start only proves they are the useful idiots that the Party relies on.
