The board tried to cut the pay of the coaching team at the start of the season because they didn’t think they were worth it. They had no plan B and had to cave

Martin O’Neill is doing to Hogh what Rodgers done to Kyogo and that’s asking him to come deep to link up play and to hold the ball up when it’s not their game.

Mind that time we didn't play Raskin in a vital European qualifier so we didn't lose out on a transfer fee
Then we got knocked out of Europe
So no European money or Football
And now apparently we are getting no money for Raskin as we are loaning him out
Best in class
Anyone have an idea of how many players we can actually register for our EL squad at present? Would assume with the outgoings we are fine. But with a lot of them not on the list anyway plus CCV/OX/KH/HH/MB/CD to add could be tight? @aboutceltic normally on the ball
Time to get real
The upside of qualification is £50m
Cost of squad upgrade to get there say £20-25m
We need to qualify 1 in 2 years to breakeven
We are 0/6 since 2017
That is why we will only spend when we qualify. Shite as a fan but as a shareholder it is bang on!
Answers to this may be pretty damning. Despite being 3-0 up from first leg are you shell shocked we fucked it?

Almost 5 months ago. And they didn’t even have to look for a successor
O’Neill is still scheduled to step away from his position as manager at the end of the season, but believes a ‘more robust’ strategy will be in place for his successor.
“I am sure that the new manager coming in, and Celtic should be on the search now, should be looking and have his own scouting system up and running,” he said. “There will be a more robust look at how we approach the transfer market. Sometimes it does go to the last minute, but it’s about having things in place and up and running, not like last year.”
When asked about a replacement, O’Neill responded, “I don’t know, but I assume that some sort of structure will come in that takes all of that into consideration.”
Mentality, not just ability, will be a key focus for the club to ensure players have the right personality to thrive in a pressurised environment.
“If we are signing someone permanently, then you absolutely need to factor it in,” the Celtic manager said. “We are looking at our own policy ahead of the summer, and what we can do better, and you need to take that into consideration.
“If you are signing someone from a much lower league, you need to think, ‘Can you handle this and do it quickly?’ But if you are signing someone who has played often in the Bundesliga, they should be able to handle it.”
One German-based player not due to arrive, however, is RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager. O’Neill rubbished recent reports that Celtic had already offered a pre-contract to the Austrian.
