If MLB expands to 32, it should consider four 8-team divisions: -9 games against each division foe (63 total) -5 games against other division (40) -3 games each against other league (48) with 6 games against opposing league "rival" (3 additional). Equals 154 games. Division winners advance, followed by next five best records in each league. Since there would be winners in each season series, end of season tiebreakers are a piece of cake. Heck, you could really have fun by determining home field in a given series not by better overall record, but by whomever won the season series. Having eight 4-team divisions is going to create the potential of multiple mediocre teams sneaking in.
