Here's the breakdown of single family homes by jurisdiction in Sept. El Paso County had the most detached homes, but @CityofCOS had the most overall with a lot of duplexes in addition to detached homes. Also worth noting, Palmer Lake added 2 new homes to its small community.

A new Crunch Fitness is going in at Academy and Union inside the old Big Lots In Union Square. It’s a $2.5 million dollar remodel. This is the 2nd month in a row we have had a large remodel of an old big box store into a gym. Nice infill project. #crunchfitness #gym

The first hotel project of 2026 was permitted in September. It’s a Candlewood Suites located at Airport and Powers near the Taco Bell. It’s a 4 story, 104 unit hotel, with an estimated valuation of $12.6 million. #hotel #construction #growth #tourism

The Pikes Peak Regional Development Center where our south office is located is set up as a one stop shop for development. In addition to PPRBD, this building also houses City Zoning (DRE), City Engineering, CSFD, El Paso County Zoning, and CSU for construction services.
