Throwing stones at trains is illegal and has serious consequences. It:
- Causes malicious damage to public property.
- Endangers the lives of commuters and onboard personnel.
- Constitutes economic sabotage and disrupts essential rail services.

Minister of Transport, Hon. Barbara Creecy, visited the newly refurbished Walsonia and Mdantsane stations and officially opened Fort Jackson Station.
The refurbished stations feature CCTV cameras, universal access and solar power, supporting improved security, accessibility and more sustainable station infrastructure.
These upgrades form part of PRASA’s ongoing #RebuildingRail efforts to restore railway infrastructure, improve the commuter experience and reconnect communities through safe and reliable rail transport.
