First camera started working on a Hardwaee 4 equipped Model 3 (2022). Yes, we did the retrofit!
It’s not as bad as it seemed, the computer replacement needed, some light ECU hacking. No need to replace camera cables as well, you can get away with adapters.
It’s driving, but still a bit of stuff left to get all the features 😁
Honestly Tesla could have done it ages ago and offer a paid upgrade, if they end up doing it it doesn’t need so much new parts, but you need to replace all the cameras. It can be done on intel cars together with a Ryzen retrofit.

Over two months later, Tesla still hasn’t delivered v14 Lite to the hundreds of thousands of Model S and Model X customers who paid up to $15,000 for Unsupervised Full Self-Driving several years ago.
Ghosting customers who paid for a promised product is unacceptable. This issue isn’t simply going to go away, it will always be their legacy.
FSD v14 Lite is now rolling out to AI3 early-access customers. Based on the feedback, will rollout to more customers over the next few weeks.
This build distills the driving behavior from AI4’s v14 series into both the camera and compute config of AI3. It includes destination options and speed profiles on city roads, but more importantly significantly improved safety.

Got into an accident today while testing Tesla FSD v14.1 Lite.
We clearly had a green light and another vehicle entered the intersection across our path. The footage shows FSD was still engaged as the vehicle crossed in front of us. I believe I took over and hit the brakes once I realized FSD wasn’t going to stop in time.
The other vehicle running the light appears to be the cause of the accident but would a HW4 Tesla have detected and reacted to this situation earlier than my HW3 car?
