M2K has autism, and as much as you want to say “it’s no excuse”, no one is perfect and new circumstances can happen which can be things to learn from. This is one of those cases and he has learned from it.
He has no family that wants to take care of him
He relies on the few friends he has to be able to live anywhere
and often those living conditions aren’t ideal
He was told he shouldn’t go to the event, and he listened and agreed.

They hid it in the bill because they knew it was unconstitutional.
It’s treasonous as far as I’m concerned.
Every single person who voted for this needs removed from office.

The Framers wrote Article II, Section 2 to require a two-thirds Senate vote for any agreement that binds us to another country.
Instead, they buried it in a must-pass bill to avoid debate.
