𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐋𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐎𝐌 🥇 Called upon with less than 24 hours notice, this guy was different gravy on Wednesday. Distribution, shot stopping, general positioning - all great. Some debut performance from Wednesday’s MOM - Matty Leaper. #ProudToBeTown

𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 ✍🏽 The club are delighted to announce the signing of Andy McManus who’ll come in to provide his experience and guidance both on and off the field when required. A great player and guy to have at Horbury. Andy spent many a season at Ossett Albion back in the day and has experience at this level and higher that we’re grateful we can tap in to. McManus is sponsored by ‘Betty Alice Cakes’ for the upcoming season. A massive thanks for your support. #ProudToBeTown

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔’𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 ✍🏽 This one probably is.. Picking up the award all players want to win last season and in the running for everything else, Az is once again a Horbury player for 26/27. No question this guy leaves everything out on that pitch every time he gets on it and puts in the hard yards off it to ensure his levels are very high. Aaron is sponsored by ‘Diamond Shine Yorkshire’ for the upcoming season. A huge thanks to those guys for their support. @DSYLleeds #ProudToBeTown

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐃 🤎 The club are terribly sad to announce the passing of without doubt the #1 fan at Horbury Town, our Malcy after a short but hard fought battle with illness. Malcy was everything that Horbury stands for - passionate, encouraging, family, but mostly importantly, heart. He leaves a huge hole in the heart of the club and will be dearly missed. Rarely missing a game - even back to the early West Yorkshire days when crowds didn’t even surpass ten. Him and Kath would always make every effort to be there. His positivity in the toughest times at the club speak volumes of the man he was. Quite hard to put into words just how well thought of he was by everyone at the club, players past and present too. As a mark of respect, there will be a minutes applause of Saturday’s game against Parkgate for everyone to pay their respects. There will also be a donation box at the game for the chosen charity of the family. Let’s pack the crowd out, get behind the team - just like Malc did and come together for one of life’s best. #ProudToBeTown

𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐗𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒 📆 A full list of fixtures for the 26/27 season can now be found on the league website. ncefl.org.uk/teams/horburyto… The club are actively looking at Saturday fixtures where games can be arranged for the Friday night. We feel that there is a real benefit financially to a Friday night game and will seek those opportunities where Horbury can reciprocate the favour. With this in mind, hopefully a fair few of these fixtures will change and plenty of free Saturday’s which would allow players and volunteers to spend time with their families. We cannot wait to get started on Saturday. #ProudToBeTown
