Apple's iPhone 18 Pro is a very solid smartphone, but it's just not that much of an upgrade over the iPhone 17 Pro unless you're really into photography. I'm still a big fan of the overall design, though. My @xdadevelopers review is live. xda-developers.com/iphone-18…

I cannot overstate how excited I am about this. It's something I've wanted to do for years, and the team has been working so hard on it for months. Today is the day the world gets to see it! It's a proud moment, and I want to especially thank @AdamConwayIE who put his whole soul into this. Everyone go check out XDB!
Today, we're launching XDB Builder! It's a new way to build PCs that's designed to be easier, smarter, and just better in an age when PC building is becoming more and more challenging. Read more: xda-developers.com/introduci…

If I wasn’t buying Ocarina of Time and GTA VI, I’d totally play Modern Warfare 4. Based on what I’ve seen, it seems like a return to form for the series in terms of single-!player and multiplayer.

I’m currently compiling a Switch game to run on macOS. I feel like I’m in The Matrix and also living in an alternative timeline at the same time.

I've been trying Xodus Nexus for the last few days. It's a launcher and translation layer that lets you play Xbox Game Pass games on the Steam Deck and SteamOS. Game compatibility isn't stellar, but it works pretty well when games are actually playable.

There is a god, and he obviously wants me to keep blogging about tech.
Rumors say Google is finally killing that terribly dumb AI Overview model at the top of search results. Yeah, that box hurt their ad click rates and burned through a massive amount of compute. Fixing their compute shortage is probably the biggest reason behind this move.

This was an official photo of Breath of the Wild downloaded directly from Nintendo’s press site, not a screenshot of the Mac port. To me, this seems like abuse of the DMCA system.
There's now a Zelda: Breath of the Wild native PC port, and early reports suggest it runs surprisingly well bit.ly/4Bo82IN

I’m guessing this is the private Eden fork in action.

Occasionally, I'll be using the iPhone Duo and think, "damn, this is kind of working for me now, I didn't expect this." Then I'll open Firefox or another app, and it's just this little tiny app on a giant screen.

I dusted off my Steam Deck OLED for the first time in years today. I forgot how much I prefer the handheld's ergonomics over the Switch 2 and the ROG Xbox Ally X/X20.

I've never counted myself among the people that actually wanted a MacBook with a touchscreen, but it's finally happened. Apple has revealed a MacBook Pro with an OLED touschreen. xda-developers.com/apple-fin…

Mario Kart World is running on an iPhone now, and it looks like Splatoon Raiders runs through a private build of Eden (an original Switch emulator). Things are getting spicy in the fast-moving world of Switch 2 Mac and PC ports. xda-developers.com/nintendo-…

I just booked an appointment to get my Ioniq 5's winter tires put on, and they asked if I wanted an oil change, too.

I'm looking forward to trying out Nxnative myself soon. The game compatibility list is pretty wild, and it's growing fast. Thanks @AdamConwayIE for helping me nail the technical side of this one. xda-developers.com/nintendo-…

This is wild (for the recording, playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Duo would be an awful experience).
Tears of the Kingdom, running native on iPhone Duo! I'm continuing to cook on these "ports" so make sure to follow for updates in the future. so Just like the last one for Super Mario Odyssey, I’ve added: - Controller and On-screen controls w/ native device gyro. - PS5 DualSense controller support for the unique haptics and adaptive trigger engine. Drawing a bow gives some resistance, and shield surfing feels incredible. - Haptics on device itself when using without a controller. - Play in folded or unfolded mode on the Duo, keeping your gameplay seamless in whatever format you want to enjoy it in. Github repo in the comments so you can try this out on your own legally obtained game files.
