African politics be like……

My message to the Left: Carry on celebrating the imprisonment and persecution of patriots. Your celebration of tyranny is being noted. You fail to realise that sooner or later we, the patriot Right, will weaponise the same legal system against YOU. Then you won’t be laughing. Tick tock.

ISLAMISTS INSIDE OUR INSTITUTIONS Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy warns that Islamists are getting inside British institutions, just as ministers push ahead with an "anti-Muslim hostility" definition and a new adviser to police it. He says material he obtained lists rape gangs as an example of "Islamophobic discourse", and that street prayers outside Downing Street and beside our war memorials are about showing who is in charge. The government should be confronting extremism, not writing a blasphemy code that silences those who expose it. Free speech and our Christian heritage are not up for negotiation.

THEY FOUND 30 COUNTRIES America's border chief Tom Homan says that when a judge blocks someone's removal to their home country, the US simply sends them somewhere else. More than 30 countries have agreed to take them. In Britain, a blocked removal too often means the person stays for good, housed at the taxpayer's expense, while ministers tell us nothing can be done. If Washington can strike these deals, so can London. Stop making excuses and start removing people.

NOT YET IS NOT NO The Chancellor says free movement is ruled out "for this parliament", then admits it is "inevitably" part of a bigger discussion about a better Brexit deal. That isn't a no, it's a not yet. Britain voted to take back control of its borders.

THE BOATS ARE BACK Around 150 illegal migrants have crossed the Channel or are crossing today, the first small boats to reach Britain in more than three weeks. Three weeks of quiet, and the moment the smugglers can launch again, Border Force is straight back to ferrying them into port. Labour promised to smash the gangs. Instead the crossings carry on, the hotels stay full and the British taxpayer picks up the bill. Secure the border. Detain and deport every illegal arrival.
