Hope this video helps to clarify how receptor phase separation influences organ preservation quality. @MayoClinicCVS @MayoTransplant #PhaseSeparation
Donation after brain and cardiac death leads to differential cell-specific cardiac signaling. An improved understanding of this process can lead to more targeted cardiac preservation techniques for each mode of donation. @PaulTangMD

Mineralocorticoid receptor inhibition at the time of cardiac surgery may reduce postop new atrial fibrillation. Opportunities exist to trial this in patients. Congrats to @SinaDaneshMD who worked intensely on this article. @MayoClinicCVS @MayoCVservices @AHAScience
Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists reduce post-heart surgery atrial fibrillation (#AFib), likely by acting on cardiomyocytes. #AHAJournals @SinaDaneshMD @PaulTangMD @MayoClinicCVS ahajrnls.org/3JeRBs5
