We know it’s a fabulous line up for anyone with a general interest in history as well as teachers. Don’t forget that some of the talks are also recorded so you can listen to some of them when you get home.

Of course what the @marksandspencer cyber attack has highlighted is not just that their IT security was poor but that that their customer service is totally inadequate, unhelpful and rude. There is no desire to help anyone who has been caught up in the organisation’s failures.

15 December 1984. Do They Know It’s Christmas? by pop supergroup Band Aid entered the UK chart at No 1 and stayed there for 5 weeks. At the time, it was the biggest selling UK single of all time, only later surpassed in 1997 by Elton John’s revised Candle in the Wind.

❄️🧣Bundle up as Imelda Staunton takes us on a journey through 'In the Cold Night' - a poignant tale of a young boy who loses his home in an earthquake. ‘In The Cold Night’ is based on the real-life stories of the families that ShelterBox have supported. Please share this video and help us raise awareness for those who are struggling this winter. 'In the Cold Night' was written by author Sarah Tagholm, with illustrations by Karen George.

On my way to help and support the #AJEX Remembrance Parade. It started in the 1930’s by veterans to demonstrate that there had been 45,000+ Jews in the British Military in WW1 with many still serving. They wanted to remember all the fallen and combat rising antisemitism.

more equal world for everyone. With antisemitism and hate back on the streets in the 21st century the #Remembrance Parade is an important reminder that British and Jewish life are entwined. Jews are not ‘others’ they are part of the UK.

Remembrance time is about respecting the fallen and those who have had their lives changed by war and it is also a time to remember that they we’re fighting for a better world, free from tyranny for all of us. Today I will remember all of their sacrifices for all our freedoms

I wonder if it’s possible to mention that today is the 85th anniversary of Kristallnacht without getting some inappropriate but predictable responses. Let’s see.

This message from the Muslim Arab-Israeli star newscaster Lucy Aharish tells alot about this atrocious moment but also alot about what Israel is and isnt… @lucyaharish
“We are fighting for our lives, for our future, and mostly for the future of our children.” Arab-Israeli TV anchor @lucyaharish interrupted rolling coverage of Hamas’s atrocities against Israelis to make this heartrending appeal to the world. Please listen and share.
