Very real and very much felt. And a lot of black electeds ALLOWED themselves to get used in the process
Haley Stevens used a Black church as a prop to announce her support for white supremacy. That’s who she is. That’s who she’s always been.

I walked the Trump rally line to listen, not make assumptions. I talked with voters, asked questions and heard what matters to them. When I'm elected, I'll represent all 82 counties and every Mississippian, no matter who they voted for. That's what being your senator means. #MississippiMatters

MoveOn's @paynedc says presidential impeachment still matters: “There’s a lot of ways to hold folks accountable. I think impeachment is one of them, and I think just from the perspective of our members at MoveOn, our members don’t want to take any of those options off the table"

Would President Trump ever acknowledge a midterm “shellacking” the way former President Obama did? Democratic strategist @paynedc argues that Trump’s grip on Republicans would lead him toward a very different response. Watch the full episode on The Hill Insider.

Surprised @espn so willing lent their platform to political performance today. But we’ll play. We’d love to have @DerrickNAACP join you in his home state of Miss. next week to express why the Protect College Sports Act is dangerous to Black Athletes and the Black community. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think a lot of traditional media is struggling with its diminished role as narrative setter, and frustrated with a fractured information ecosystem that has empowered people like Hasan Piker That resentment has come through in coverage, where calls to condemn the streamer read to me like an attempt to resurrect the world where we were the sole referees of political discourse. That time is over On @studyhallxyz with @quepaso_daniel

I appreciate that Democrats can have differences over single payer healthcare, free childcare, pausing data centers and other issues @FrancescaHongWI fought for. But caricaturing and labeling candidates based on a few statements is not a politics I believe in. I have known Fran for years and remain proud to have supported her. She is a daughter of Korean immigrants, a single mother, a small business owner of a restaurant who struggled. As an Asian American, she had to fight for a seat at the table of our party and country. Nothing was handed to her. As a son of immigrants, I grew up watching the Ohio State Michigan football game during Thanksgiving weekend. We did not have a lot of extended family here since both of my parents are immigrants so we would gather with other Indian American aunties and uncles for Thanksgiving in Lancaster, PA at the Sudans home for years. It was one of my favorite childhood memories. I believe in an America where we extend each other some grace, where we try to understand each other's stories. I am all for spirited debate on issues and even electability. But I categorically reject the idea that the Democratic party must play the same name calling games as Trump, reducing people's identity to labels for political games. This country cries out for moral leadership. We want to rise above division. Let us start to provide it.
