"God was present in seasons I thought were empty. He was sustaining me when I didn't realize I was being sustained, protecting me from things I didn't understand, strengthening me in places where I thought I was simply surviving." #DevotionalsForTheHeart

There is a popular modern saying about practicing forgiveness. It says, “I obeyed Jesus Christ and forgave seventy times seven. But number four hundred and ninety-one? I’m coming out swinging!”
But it’s not the point of practicing forgiveness.

Whatever season you are in, Jesus is not absent from it. He sees the weight you carry when no one is looking. "You are the God who sees me" (Gen. 16:13, NIV).
And He doesn't just see where you are. He wants to make you new (Rev. 21:5).

When trouble came, Job chose to worship rather than turn away from God. Job 1:21 is a reminder that even in difficult seasons, remembering God’s blessings can help strengthen your faith in God.
When life feels heavy, pause and name the blessings God has already given you, then choose to praise Him again.

Not once in the Bible does it say worry about it, stress over it, or figure it out. But over and over, it clearly says to trust God.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort."

But God in Christ never blessed any other day. He blesses man upon every day, but he has blessed only one day, and that is the seventh day. E.G. White {CAS 20.2}
And He invites us to remember the Sabbath day and worship today with our Christian family. Come join us!

Dear God, I pray for the woman who is asking You which way to go. Lord, right now her heart is trusting, but she is so tired from thinking through everything. Remind her, Father, when the way feels unclear that Your love reveal the path that leads to life. In Your Holy Name, Amen

When life feels uncertain, remember where your refuge is!
Nahum 1:7 reminds us that “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.”
Spoken in a time of oppression and coming judgment, this verse reminds us that God’s goodness remains our assurance, even in difficult times.
We may not understand what lies ahead, but we can trust the One who knows our hearts and cares for us.
Let go of the need to have all the answers, but know where your refuge is and in whom you can trust!

God is still good even when His answer doesn't make sense to you.
You don't have to pretend it does. Bring it all to Him.
He can handle your honesty. He is faithful. He is working even in the parts you cannot yet see. 💛

If you want to know who Jesus is, study the Bible. The Old Testament points to Him. The Gospels reveal Him. Revelation promises He's coming back. The Bible isn't a bunch of random stories. It's one story, and Jesus is the center of it all.
