𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘅 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘂𝗽. We’ve been building Fun Markets as a simple place for the @sportfun community to put $FUN to work on tournament-week markets. The feedback has been clear: people like the markets and the UI. The friction is getting in and staying protected once you’re there. That’s what this campaign with the Spicenet community is about. 𝙎𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧. You no longer need $FUN sitting on Base to play. Deposit assets from any supported EVM chain. Spice Flow by @spicenet handles the conversion so the funds land in Fun Markets as $FUN you can use immediately. No manual bridging. No “I only hold tokens on this other chain” or "I don't want to withdraw tokens from my in-game SDF account" excuse. On top of that, the Privy integration means new players can sign up with email or socials. No seed phrase required to start. You can be in the markets without already living deep in crypto wallets. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧. 𝙃𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙇𝙄𝙑𝙀. Fun Markets is the first prediction market where you can protect part of what you put in or what you win and, as more people use the same feature, unlock the ability to play with more than you deposited. Here’s how it actually works, in plain language: You place $FUN into a reserve. That amount is your hedge. You get access to a portion of it right away to play markets. The rest stays protected in the reserve. As more people hedge, capacity opens up. Your accessible amount can grow sometimes beyond what you originally put in without you adding more $FUN yourself. Your share of that extra capacity depends on how much you’ve hedged and how long you stay in. Wins are handled normally. Losses come out of the reserve. Refunds restore it. When you want to leave, you can exit the remaining reserve (minus a small fee) as long as you haven’t accessed more than you hedged. The accessible amount you never used is forfeited, but the protected part comes back. 𝗵𝗙𝗨𝗡 is the non-transferable in-game tracker that keeps this clean. It doesn’t leave the app. It just keeps your place in the reserve and your eligibility for future capacity. No one is forced to use it. Normal play is still there. Hedge is the option for people who like the markets but don’t want every $FUN they bring in to be all-in from the first tap nor every win from every correct prediction to be giving back to future markets. 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨. Spice Flow and Privy remove the “I don’t have $FUN on Base”, "withdrawing from my SDF account will affect my reputation" and “I don’t want to set up a new wallet” barriers. Hedge removes the “if I try this and lose, it’s all gone” barrier. Together they make it easier for people outside the current SDF core including the wider Spicenet community to try the markets, protect part of what they deposit/win, and potentially play with more as the hedge pool grows. We’re running this as a community campaign with Spicenet.
