He does it great too
As of a couple nights ago, Bob Dylan has now performed the Bo Diddley cover "I Can Tell" more times than "Tomorrow Is a Long Time"

Enjoyed the student concert last night @BowdoinCollege showcasing their outstanding music department. From chorus to jazz to south Asian to Orchestral works. Excellent. @bmcbowdoin

So hoping a new album that he’ll want to tour behind in ‘27!
You can’t help but wonder if these new uptempo arrangements, and the more assertive playing of the new guitarists, aren’t pointing the way towards the sound of the next Bob Dylan album/era

Exactly, The Beatles on Ed -also the Moon Landing
Beatles on Ed Sullivan.

Sweet Home Alabama-Neil Young
Name a song that mentions another song or artist in the lyrics… Ball of Confusion-Temptations …the Beatles’ new record’s a gas

I’m telling you there’s a whole book about his creative decisions involving new musical arrangements.
"Tryin' to Get to Heaven" new arrangement last night is crazy. He's basically singing it over the chords to "One More Cup of Coffee." 14:45 in: youtu.be/84rKj1JfwoI?si=Khb3…

Just awful and selfish (greedy) decision making
NFL is in a real pickle in Paris. Game should have been moved days ago. Now, the logistics make it hard. But playing it is not smart. Resources needed elsewhere in the city. But, are you surprised? #waittosee

You spell the word greed with $$$$
Roger Goodell is a complete fucking idiot for sending the NFL to Paris while the city’s dealing with riots. He clearly doesn’t give a damn about the safety of American players or fans. Jalen Hurts is a prime example.

Or cowboys
If a movie’s soundtrack is mostly Bob Dylan you know the movie’s probably about to be dogshit

The greed of the NFL is off the charts
Just thought about this: Instead of international games, why doesn’t the NFL do something like a college stadium series? Imagine the #Steelers playing a game at Beaver Stadium, the #Lions at the Big House or the #Browns in The Horseshoe. Players would probably prefer it, too.

You are simply incorrect
*deep inhale* Guys, it’s The Beatles. Formulaic music that got hyped into genius status by a perfect storm of timing and savvy media, not actual skill. Expert exploitation of trends already pioneered by others. They’re a marketing phenomenon that got called the greatest because they sold a lot of records to herd-mentality teenagers, not because the music itself was ever the most advanced, demanding, or enduring rock ever made.

I agree. Awful. The NFL is perhaps the greediest of all the leagues.
Sorry, but I’m over the international games. They disrupt the schedule and take a toll on players’ bodies. The NFL doesn’t need to go international, and shouldn't. We have our version of football, and they have theirs. That’s okay.

Compared to “Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie….” It was literary.
These things can't be argued about. Early Paul Simon like this -- the "and I my Robert Frost" stuff-- makes me cringe despite my admiration for some of his later work, partly because when I was thirteen I thought it was so deep and well-done and literary.

She’s an artist and she don’t look back!
Hard to have a meaningful conversation about Dylan, The Beatles, etc now that the context they emerged from has been forgotten. There was little to nothing like Dylan's lyricism in popular music before he took off. His synthesis of influences shaped everything that followed.

Dan was a great guy. I was very sad to hear the news.
A sad week for ESPN Radio, past and present, with the loss of two men synonymous with its success. They were husbands, fathers, friends and cheerleaders. It's an honor to share my personal stories and memories. Thank you for taking a few minutes to understand why they will be profoundly missed. youtu.be/nGox9C3SZqU?si=ZiyL…
