『FFレゾナンス』、原作『FFBE』第1部の結末を「大幅に調整」。原作脚本家・北島行徳氏も参加して全体を書き直し、一本の家庭用作品として、物語が完全に終わったと感じられる形にするという。
原作は全5シーズンだが、開発側は現時点で後続シーズンを基にした作品や計画はないと明言している。

This is the worst and dumbest plague of modern media. Total unwillingness to tell your audience "no you actually do have to engage with the entire thing"
