A pair of Miami Dolphin Hall of Famers from the 1970s era - Center Jim Langer and Quarterback Bob Griese. Both started for the 1972 Dolphins, still the only team in NFL History to go undefeated all the way to a Super Bowl victory.

We’re all trying to make the team and I and the offense had a pretty good game. In my mind I was thinking that Pittsburgh wouldn’t be a bad place to play. I was fortunate to end up playing there for seven years."

#OTD in #SteelersHistory 1974 the Fort Worth Star-Telegram printed this photo of #Steelers "backup" quarterback Terry Bradshaw. Three weeks later Coach Noll would reinstate Bradshaw as the starter and he would go on that season to lead the team to their first Super Bowl victory.

#OTD in #SteelersHistory 1942 the #Steelers beat the Giants 13-10 in the special season that finished 7-4 to give Pittsburgh's its first winning one. The game was also special for the youngsters who had free tickets courtesy of Art Rooney for their work in the Scrap Drive.
