The murder of a child is a pain no parent should have to endure, let alone from thousands of miles away.
Javits Frimpong’s mother deserves to say goodbye to her son in person. I just got off the phone with President Trump and he has agreed to grant her visa immediately.
All of New York City is mourning this tragedy.

Imagine living in Brampton and removing bike lanes in Toronto because the Premier “told you to,” despite your own government’s evidence that doing so won’t reduce congestion.
Why not start with Brampton’s bike lanes? Why impose your will on Torontonians who didn’t elect you and don’t support what you’re doing?
Now imagine the Toronto candidate cheering you on suffered a humiliating defeat (Bradford) just days ago after six years of campaigning and spending a fortune trying to convince Torontonians to vote for him.
And then imagine posting this video.

Hudson Williams talks with @VanityFairIt about what type of masculinity his characters embody in ‘YAGA’ and how the show is a metaphor for what scares us
“They are at opposite ends of the spectrum of self-confidence and fragility. Henry thinks he's invincible, he thinks he can walk on water and using others, but it doesn't end well. In fact, this behavior usually makes people extremely weak and almost blind to the consequences of the real world. You don't realize that you are human and must obey the rules of social conduct. Instead, Logan is convinced he has no autonomy or self-esteem and so he relies on others without realizing who he is handing over power to.”
“Today we exploit fear of others to create division and even lead to viewing our neighbors with suspicion. Yaga reflects precisely on the motivations behind these behaviors, as if people always expect to find something rotten in others.”

There are two directions cities on the planet are going today. More cars and congestion or more spaces for people. There really isn’t any in-between. If you invite cars into your city from across the region you have a congested mess. We’ve done that.
No ‘traffic officers’ waving through a car or two at a time will change things. They just won’t.
London can pedestrianism Oxford because London has experimented with Congestion Pricing for 23 years and it has transformed the city (and for those about to ‘ but transit’ - congestion pricing was implemented with an aggressive *bus* strategy).
We continue to add significant density to Toronto, but we are missing the secret sauce - a city rich in public spaces.
London’s iconic Oxford Street will be pedestrianised between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street from today onwards.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.
ALL ROAD USERS.
What about painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.
For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

It's been a decade but this is big. Ottawa followed Toronto's lead when uber got there because our Mayor and our inept regulators touted their work as the example everyone should follow, never to be accountable for the absolute mess they created. cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ci…

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.

You don't have to be American to be inspired by this.
I'm Canadian 🇨🇦 and this gave me goosebumps.
Never forget, elected officials work for the people, not the other way around.
Power belongs to the people. And when politicians forget that, it's our job to remind them.

François Arnaud talks about the secrecy surrounding season two of Heated Rivalry and the increased luxury we'll see onscreen:
"I had to sign 14 papers telling me to shut up."
“[The budget,] it’s not bad [it’s] the same budget, except for clothes and cars."
"Designers sent [clothes] that rich hockey players would wear. The big car brands sent [cars] that these players would drive in life.”

🇺🇸🇲🇽 New York Mayor Mamdani is now speaking directly to immigrants IN SPANISH, telling them how to deal with ICE agents
And he's getting VERY specific.
Don't open your door without a judicial warrant. You have the right to remain silent. Don't sign anything before speaking with a lawyer.
He even explains how to check whether a warrant is actually signed by a judge, rather than simply issued by immigration authorities.
Mamdani also reminds residents that NYPD officers do not participate in routine federal civil immigration enforcement and points them toward the city's free immigration legal hotline.
He's promising to protect the RIGHT TO PROTEST, too.
This goes beyond criticizing Trump's immigration crackdown. Mamdani is personally walking New Yorkers through how to exercise their rights when federal agents show up at their doors.
And he's doing it in the language many of the people he's trying to reach speak at home.

Picking on Mayor Chow dancing cultural festivals is stupid. For the people who have worked so hard to execute these events, having the Mayor attend & even participate (have fun doing it!!??) validates their event & elicits pride. If you don't know this, you're just not trying.
