In 1952, an English teacher named Cecil Dormand secretly paid for a dirt-poor 11-year-old to take a drama course.
He never told him and the boy didn’t find out until decades later.
By then, he was a knight, that little boy’s name was Patrick Stewart.
He was born into a poor family in Mirfield, a small mill town in Yorkshire and his father came home from World War II a violent man, and he was violent toward Patrick’s mother.
Young Patrick learned exactly when to step between his father’s fist and his mother.
An English teacher put a copy of Shakespeare in his hand and told him to get up and perform.
He never stopped and left school at 15.
By 19 he was completely bald... most agencies told him he'd never make it because of that.
In 1987, the LA Times called him an “unknown British Shakespearean actor” when he was cast as Captain Picard.
Then he became one of the most famous faces on Earth.
You’ve probably heard that part.
Here’s the part you haven’t:
He spent decades as a patron of Refuge, sheltering women and children from domestic violence.
But he never stopped trying to understand his father.
He dug up a 1940 newspaper clipping that said his dad had come home with severe shell shock.
He went to France and walked the ground where his father’s unit was pinned down under bombing for hours.
He learned his father had PTSD, and nobody ever helped him.
So Patrick became an ambassador for Combat Stress, a charity that helps veterans.
In 2013, a young woman at a Texas convention told him she was a survivor of domestic violence.
He asked, “My dear, are you okay?”
Then he hopped off the stage, held her, and told her: “You never have to go through that again, you’re safe now.”
At Dragon Con, a Make-A-Wish girl dressed as Spock came to meet him.
2,000 people were waiting for him to speak... he sat down and talked with her for 15 minutes, making all of them wait.
He told her that since they were friends now, whenever she saw him on screen she could wave and say, “Hello Patrick.”
After 9/11, he felt helpless, so he brought his one-man A Christmas Carol back to Broadway for a full week of charity shows.
He played every character himself and donated every cent.
In 2019 he did it again, and every dollar went to feeding hungry New Yorkers.
In 2017, he fostered a pit bull named Ginger, who had been rescued from a dogfighting ring.
She was his first dog in more than 50 years.
He couldn’t bring her home to England, so he found her a family.
Then he kept fostering more.
When he said he was done with Star Trek so many people told him the show had gotten them through the hardest times of their lives.
So he wanted to see if Picard could do it one more time.
Rest in Peace, Sir Patrick 🖖

Isa Cayahuga is not an American citizen, and our country should not tolerate her existence in our borders for a second longer.
Her and her entire shitlib immigrant family need to be deported immediately.
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.
I told her I’d pray for her.
This is the climate. We pick up the mic anyway.

I'm pretty sure that at the time, she didn't think about how pulling this despicable stunt would impact the rest of her life... but 100% she does now.
FAFO, bish!. 😁
"After finishing the poem, which included the lines “as we solemnly remembered a shot to the neck” and an invitation to a “Squirt for Kirk” event, she told Texas Youth Summit founder Christian Collins he was “brave” for appearing on campus without neck protection."
"...someone has registered the domain IsaCasahuga.com and published her information and the poem’s full text so the record of what she said remains permanently available, including to potential future employers."

This is a hostage video. There’s no other possible explanation. She literally has a massive bandage on her face and says she’s stepping down.
What the actual fuck?

So a sitting United States Senator goes on camera a week before Election Day and says "we have lawyers who are already drafting the emergency case to be brought to the Supreme Court of the United States before the election and then in the immediate aftermath"… before the election. Not after a single vote was counted, not after anything happened, but before.
And then Ed Markey keeps going, thousands of lawyers getting ready to be deployed at election stations in the key states, and "we have to be ready on Election Day to have a national strike," with millions of people coming out of their homes to protest what he already calls an electoral crime. A crime that has not happened yet, on a day that has not happened yet.
Let me explain what you are looking at. When you write the lawsuit before the election and stage the crowd before the results, you are not protecting an election, you are pre-contesting one, and the outcome only counts if it goes your way. Now imagine a Republican senator saying those exact words on camera… how long before every network was running the word insurrection around the clock?
I watched them call people like us dangerous for asking questions about machines. Markey plans the strike out loud and it is just another interview in Boston.
@SenMarkey, if you are so sure you are winning big, why are the Supreme Court briefs already written? Go vote. All of you.
Markey Reveals Color Revolution Plan: Unions & Workers to Shut Down Nation?
Senator Markey must have participated in the organized Ed Holder Election War Game Exercises.
In a interview conducted today, Senator Ed Markey stated that lawyers were already drafting an emergency case to bring before the U.S.
Supreme Court both before and immediately after the election. He added that thousands of lawyers were being prepared for deployment to key polling stations across multiple states.
Markey further said preparations needed to include readiness for a national strike on Election Day, with millions of people taking to the streets to protest what he described as an attempted electoral crime. He specifically called for workers, unions, and businesses to shut down in a manner similar to the response in Minneapolis following the deaths of Alex Freddi and Renee Goode.
Markey argued that the president was growing increasingly desperate because Republican fortunes had slipped, citing repeated visits to Texas to protect an otherwise safe Senate seat and campaigning in historically safe Republican states such as Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
The Senator predicted that an anticipated large Democratic victory would prompt some Republicans in the House and Senate to distance themselves from the MAGA agenda rather than become “sacrificial lambs.”
Markey expressed concern that desperation could lead to the deployment of ICE agents or the military, and he said the public mobilization would demonstrate outrage to the Supreme Court if an emergency petition were filed.
This is why voters must choose common sense candidates in this midterm cycle. The modern Jacobins are out for blood, and only a decisive choice at the ballot box can save our republic.

One man in this painting is looking at you.
Not at the body. Not at the grieving women. At you.
He’s bent under the weight of a corpse, both arms locked around the dead man’s knees, the vein in his leg swollen from the strain. And he’s turned his head to look straight out of the canvas.
His name is Nicodemus.
And the last time we saw him, he was hiding.
John 3:1–2. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night.
By night.
A member of the ruling council. A teacher of Israel. He wanted to talk to Jesus, but he didn’t want anyone to see him do it. So he came after dark.
And that night, Jesus told him things He hadn’t told anyone else yet.
Ye must be born again.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.
And this is John 3:14. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.
Lifted up. On a pole. Like the bronze serpent.
Nicodemus was the first person in the gospel of John Jesus ever told about the cross. In a private conversation. At night. Three years early.
He went home. He didn’t follow. He kept his seat on the council.
Once, when the council was plotting against Jesus, he spoke up carefully. John 7:51. Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him? They mocked him for it. He went quiet.
Then came Friday.
Jesus was lifted up, exactly as He’d told him. And everyone who’d followed Him in daylight ran. Peter denied Him. The disciples scattered.
And the secret believer stopped being a secret.
John 19:39. And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pound weight.
John reminds you who he was, right at the moment he stopped being that man. The one who came by night.
He walked to Pilate’s execution ground in daylight, carrying a king’s burial - enough spice to bury a monarch. With Joseph of Arimathea, another man who’d been a disciple secretly, for fear.
The bold ones fled. The cowards showed up.
And Caravaggio put that man’s eyes on you.
Now look at what he’s standing on.
A massive stone slab. And its corner doesn’t stay inside the painting. It juts out, sharp, heavy, diagonal, straight toward the viewer, past the edge of the frame, into your space.
This painting hung over an altar in a church in Rome. The people kneeling in that chapel looked up and saw the body of Christ being lowered toward them, onto a stone that seemed to stick right out of the wall above the altar they were kneeling at.
He’s being handed to you.
And Caravaggio made it the corner of the stone on purpose.
Psalm 118:22. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
Jesus quoted that about Himself. The rejected stone. The cornerstone.
And Peter later spelled out what a cornerstone does to people. 1 Peter 2:7–8. To believers, it’s precious. To the disobedient, it’s a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence.
The same corner either holds up your whole life or you trip over it.
Caravaggio pointed it right at your shins.
Look at the rest. The dead man’s arm hangs down, fingers just touching the stone. The white shroud spills over the edge like an altar cloth. Behind them, three women. His mother bent with grief, one weeping into a cloth, one throwing her arms up to heaven.
And under the slab, a dark gap. The tomb.
One more detail. The man who founded that chapel, Piero Vittrice, died before the painting was finished, and he was buried in the crypt underneath the altar. A dead man in the ground below, and above him, Caravaggio’s body of Christ going down into the grave first.
Every body goes into the ground. Only one came back out to open the way for the rest.
The painting itself didn’t stay put either. Napoleon’s armies carried it off to Paris in 1797 and hung it in his museum. It came home to Rome after his empire collapsed. Empires took the painting. None of them could keep it.
Now back to Nicodemus. Back to his eyes.
Some of you have been coming by night.
You believe, or you think you do. You’ve read the words. You’ve had private conversations with God at two in the morning that nobody knows about. But in daylight, at work, at the family table, with your friends, in your feed, you keep your seat on the council. You say the careful thing. Does our law judge any man?
You’ve been a secret disciple for years.
Nicodemus’s faith became visible at the worst possible moment. When it cost the most. When Jesus looked like a failure. When there was nothing left to gain from being associated with Him except the body and the shame.
That’s when he showed up. With his arms full.
And that’s why he’s the one Caravaggio let look at you.
He’s not asking whether you know the right things. He knew all the right things. He heard John 3:16 first.
He’s asking whether you’re still coming by night.
The corner of the stone is pointed at you.
Build on it.
Or keep walking past it in the dark.

“Illegal voting is just that: illegal,” said Acting Deputy Attorney General @PADAGMcCotter. “If you’re not an American citizen, you cannot vote in our federal elections. We want to prevent illegal voting from occurring, which is why we’ve now charged 30 people just in North Carolina who have violated our laws by illegally registering to vote and illegally voting. I am visiting friends in Chapel Hill, NC. There is a town next to it called Carrboro. The locals affectionately call it “Commieboro”. It has about 20,000 residents. You’ve never seen so many white people in your life.
The small downtown (basically an old mill repurposed for a supermarket and stores) is filled with a ton of grey-haired unattractive lesbians. They probably all work as professors at UNC.
The black population is 13%. This is an expensive town. So it’s not like it’s Harlem. Far from it. All the black people are probably also professors at UNC. I’ve been here for 2 days. I haven’t seen a single black person in Carrboro or Chapel Hill. Seriously. Everyone looks like James Taylor and Andy Griffith. Especially the lesbians.
Everywhere you look there are BLM and 2SLGBTQIA+ signs and flags. Especially the government buildings. I was told awhile back their courthouse had BLM flags hanging over the entryway when people went there to vote. Is that legal?
I took this photo last night. Black Lives Matter is painted on this government building that houses their police station. That by the way is a trademarked LOGO. It is painted way up high. My friends told me it’s been up there since 2020/2021. It’ll never come down.
Why is a Marxist LOGO painted on a tax-funded government building in a small NC town?
Do you think it’ll ever be painted over? What is the purpose of this? BLM is so 2021. That trend came and went. What’s next? A painting of bell bottom pants?
This isn’t progressive. This is a town of rich white people trying to appear hip.

YouTuber Dan Schaeffer says he “completely cleared” his sinuses with a nasal spray containing DMSO, purified water, and colloidal silver.
“No pressure, no nothing.”
DMSO has been studied for sinus problems since the 1960s, but few people know about it. Thankfully that is changing and more people are finding the relief they've been seeking.
I dug into the research and reports from readers who are still struggling after surgery. 🧵

🚨This is going to be the biggest self-own by Hennipin County of all time (and Hennepin has owned itself a lot lately). They do NOT want more attention on their ridiculous voter vouching policy by the @TheJusticeDept and potential voter fraud.
FACT: Hennepin County is charging James O'Keefe and Cam Higby with unlawful voting - but they didn't even vote! In fact, in her press conference, Mary Moriarty says it's clear they didn't intend to vote.
FACT: James and Cam exposed the absurdity of the state's vouching policy in which one individual, without an ID, can claim to be a registered voter, and bring in 8 other people without IDs, on Election Day, and "vouch" for them as legal voters. It's all on an honor system and votes are automatically counted. These are not provisional ballots.
FACT: They didn't sign the oath, which means legally they didn't commit identity theft. It was an act of pure journalism.
How many individuals who have voted based on someone else vouching for them has Hennepin County investigated for voter fraud? (The internet says ZERO.)
This is clearly designed to chill free speech and stop any further acts of independent journalism exposing the absurdity that is Minnesota's voter vouching system. And of course they timed this for just days before the midterm.
Support Cam and James as they defend themselves from these garbage charges.
