Now open! The City of Frisco is growing its park system by opening the 122-acre Northwest Community Park, located at 13770 Teel Pkwy. A beautiful day to be outside and at the ballpark! This morning, we celebrated the rededication of the Mike Simpson Miracle Field at Harold Bacchus Community Park. The field first opened in 2007, and today the Miracle League of Frisco and @PlayFrisco hosted a ribbon‑cutting ceremony for the newly renovated field and the new all‑inclusive playground as part of opening day festivities.

It’s National Bike ’n Roll to School Day! 🚴‍♀️🎒 Cold morning? No problem. Students and families rolled out, geared up and biked or walked to school. A project to shore up a creek channel to protect a hike and bike trail and fishing pier is almost complete. The channel existed long before the neighborhood was built near Main Street and Teel Parkway and erosion was becoming a problem. Shepherds Glen Neighborhood Park in southeast Frisco will reopen in a matter of months following a reinvestment project. Do you know any creative first graders who love to draw? ✍️ @PlayFrisco is accepting original hand-drawn designs for the 2026 "Your Time to Shine" Holiday Art Contest through Jan. 16. The winning design will be transformed into a glowing light motif displayed in a city park or facility. Participants must me enrolled in 1st grade at a Frisco ISD school or live in Frisco.
