What if trading on Sui felt more like playing a video game? 馃幃
Most trading platforms are full of charts, order books, and complicated numbers.
For experienced traders, that might be normal. But for someone new to crypto, it can be confusing.
. @PlayPipsFun turns its game on @SuiNetwork into an experience that looks and feels like a handheld gaming console.
The project also recently received attention from @SuiNetwork, and its early-access waitlist is now open.
So what is PIPS building? 馃憞
Instead of showing users a traditional trading interface, it offers several game-like modes:
- Range:
Players choose a price range. A narrower range offers a higher potential multiplier, but the price must stay within that range to qualify for a winning result.
- Moonshot / Up or Down:
Players make about the direction and size of a price movement.
- Lucky:
Players spin virtual reels to receive a strike price and multiplier, then follow the live chart to see the outcome.
- Arcade:
The platform also includes separate off-chain skill games.
What caught my attention most is the user experience.
Normally, it requires users to understand things like strike prices, settlement rules, and blockchain transactions.
PIPS tries to hide much of that complexity behind simple controls.
Users interact with buttons, knobs, and a screen, while the platform is designed to create and settle positions through DeepBook.
It also supports sponsored gas fees, so users do not need to manage SUI for those transactions.
Settlement is designed around price data anchored by Pyth.
There is also an interesting story behind the team.
PIPS was built by the Indonesia-based @pivyme team.
The project won first place in the DeepBook track at Sui Overflow 2026.
Its design takes inspiration from physical electronic devices, especially the minimal style of Teenage Engineering.
I think this explains why the interface looks so different from traditional DeFi applications.
Instead of making trading dashboards more colorful, the team is trying to design the entire experience around a game console.
馃憖 But why does this matter?
Many Web3 projects talk about making crypto easier for beginners.
However, they often keep the same complicated interfaces and simply add rewards or game elements.
PIPS takes a different approach.
It changes how users interact with the product while keeping the underlying prediction market infrastructure.
I think that is an interesting experiment in user experience.
According to the project, access is planned to open in stages rather than for everyone at once.
The team previously ran a public testnet and is now moving toward a more controlled rollout.
This approach could help the developers observe user behavior, identify issues, and improve the experience before wider access.
At the same time, making financial products feel like games introduces another challenge.
If trading becomes as easy as pressing a button, will users still understand the risks they are taking?
That is the question I find most interesting.
PIPS still needs to prove that its design can attract users while helping them understand how the underlying markets work.
For now, I see it as an early experiment in making on-chain more accessible, rather than a proven alternative to traditional trading platforms.
Can game-like interfaces bring new users to Sui, or will they simply make speculative trading feel more entertaining?

DeepBook app is about to go live on @SuiNetwork
@skew_sui and @playpipsfun and @yosuku0 are already building on @DeepBookonSui so you can use them on testnet to get used to the app before it drops
Looks like we will also get 1-2 min BTC prediction markets. That puts it up against @Polymarket. Feels bullish for $DEEP
@elonmusk has talked about this kind of short-term market stuff before, curious how it actually plays out.
