After a blue wave swept Texas, the Houston mayor announces that he's ending local police cooperation with ICE to "reduce fear and anxiety across our community." The Houston Police Dept was forced to work with ICE after the Abbott threatened to pull more than $110 million in funding from the city. Now, with Gina Hinojosa taking control of the state, local police will let any illegal immigrant they encounter who doesn't have a jail worthy offense go free without notifying ICE.

We have 30+ extra seats in the majority, you do not need to find bipartisan common ground. The ONLY thing you need to do the next two years is pass popular bills that will prob be vetoed by Trump anyway while promising that you’ll pass them again in 2028 if Dems take the WH.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said that his party is “ready, willing and able to find bipartisan common ground” in order to work with Republicans on the ongoing affordability crisis. abcnews.visitlink.me/ymEF7Q

Elevating Miller to chief of staff is a good reminder that it can and will get worse. There is no bottom for Trump and MAGA. They will not learn their lesson. We have to expose them and bury them in 2028.

God dont like ugly! Hyde-Smith refused to return her Senate blue slip, a procedural approval traditionally needed for judicial nominees. Without her approval, Colom's nomination never advanced to a confirmation hearing. Hyde-Smith later openly stated: "He thought he was going to be a federal judge, and I blocked him." Now he has her Job!

Jill Jones “Woke up to MSNow doing a Prop Piece on Hakeem Jeffries. Looks like everyone is more intent on making the story about him being the first black house speaker than listening to what the people want. I used to be a supporter of his but just feel he’s same old same old. He didn’t endorse Mamdani. He didn’t speak out in support of El Sayed. Never Forget that BAFFLING MOMENT IN April 2024, Congress had an opportunity to strengthen Americans’ privacy protections by requiring warrants for certain searches of their communications collected through federal surveillance. The amendment failed in a 212 to 212 tie. Jeffries voted AGAINST it. Had he voted yes it would have passed. Think about that. The Democratic leader had an opportunity to protect a fundamental civil liberty and chose otherwise. 🤷‍♀️ So before the media starts celebrating the historic possibility of our first Black House Speaker, I’d like to know exactly what kind of leadership we’re celebrating? Per a friend of mine. “I’d like to know details of why he’d meet privately with f jarod kushner?”
