This is phenomenal. As someone who’s been advocating for the OLP to get real bold on housing for a long time, I’m really impressed by this plan. This is a huge piece to winning the youth vote.
@LFairclo has my support - she’ll be a fantastic leader, and hopefully Premier!
Homeownership is out of reach for too many young people and families.
Too many people are spending more of their paycheque just to keep up with their rent or mortgage and homelessness is rising.
Every Ontarian deserves an affordable place they can call home and to stay safely housed. Here is my plan to deliver on that promise.

On October 7th, 2023, Hamas terrorists perpetrated the most deadly attack on Jewish people since the Holocaust. 8 Canadians murdered. More than a thousand innocents killed. Hostages subject to brutal, inhumane conditions for years.
Today as we honour the memories of the victims of this attack, we recognize that the fear and pain of these events persists to this day. For 3 years, Jewish people in Canada and across the world have faced levels of antisemitism not seen in decades. Security guards at daycares and police cars outside synagogues have become a fact of Jewish life. This is unacceptable.
Jewish Canadians have the right to be fully, completely and joyfully Jewish in every aspect of public life in Canada. As the Prime Minister has reminded us today, Canada is your home. Your government is wholly and totally committed to upholding your right to live safely, openly and proudly in your community.

I'm concerned for residents and families across the cities of Northwestern Ontario dealing with the wildfires and worsening air quality.
Evacuation orders continue to grow across the region, with more communities added to the list each day. The reports coming out of Collins First Nation are devastating. Families who called that community home had to flee by boat as fire closed in.
My thoughts are with the families who have been displaced, who are scared and unsure of what comes next. To the firefighters, emergency responders, Chiefs and Councils, and municipal leaders working long and strenuous hours: thank you for your courage, and your dedication to protecting our communities.

The taxpayer funded Bombardier Challenger was sold at a $200k loss to Chartright — the same company now chartering it back to Ford at $10,000 an hour. Also billed to Ontario.
