Sorry, but I’ve got to have a small rant here, and I know it's the first race weekend.
Yes, we’re at one of the worst tracks for energy harvesting and recharging, but seeing cars slow down massively halfway down a straight just isn’t F1.
I don’t really have a problem with the chassis rules or the aero (if you look past the active aero). The problem is clearly the PU regs.
A 50/50 or 53/47 split was always going to be difficult once they removed the MGU-H. These cars are energy-starved. They could go much quicker through T9-10, but the PU just doesn’t allow it.
The cars are lighter, more nimble, and generally look nicer to drive than the stiff, low-to-the-ground ground-effect cars from recent seasons. With a different engine split — something like 65/35 or 70/30 — they could’ve been really nice.
But let's go racing there.
Just do the right thing, F1 and MotoGP (Liberty Media).
🚨 BREAKING: Hotels used by Formula 1 and MotoGP teams in Qatar and Abu Dhabi are reportedly among potential Iranian attack targets.
Iran’s Fars news agency has published a list of locations across the Middle East that could face retaliatory strikes if the US or Israel launches further attacks on Iran.
The reported inclusion of hotels used by racing teams raises fresh safety concerns ahead of F1’s final two Grands Prix.

Lewis Hamilton via Instagram:
“Let me start with a huge congratulations to the new champion, Kimi Antonelli. To have seen your journey so closely and share to be there celebrating with you, was a highlight of my year. So well deserved and a record that will stand for a long time. It was great to see your team at Mercedes celebrating with you. Enjoy this moment, keep your family close, keep your passion and your energy.”
“Our own weekend was one full of challenges. We had a lot thrown at us but our mechanics and engineers did an incredible job. We’ve grown so much together this year, and that progress has taken a huge effort from everyone on the track and back at the factory. That’s why losing what could’ve been a win hurts so much. We need to grasp every opportunity we have, so it’s incredibly frustrating, and I can’t pretend otherwise.”
“I know what goes into giving us that opportunity. The standard the team holds itself to, the standard I hold myself to, the standard the fans expect. Everyone deserves to see us at our best and win. We’re all here to race and want to win. Battling is necessary, but when that battle costs the team, we have to be honest about it and learn from it. We can push each other to the limit and still honour the responsibility to everyone who put us on that track.”
“I’ll keep giving everything I have. My belief in this team hasn’t changed and neither has my responsibility to help us get this right. Stick with us. I’m only just getting started with this team, and we have so much more to come.”
I find it crazy that Kimi is “only” Italy’s third F1 World Champion.
You’d have thought a nation with such a rich motorsport history would have produced more.

If we’re being honest this whole mess is Ferrari’s fault and their lack of tough leadership.
There is literally no leadership in that team. Not a serious team, giving away wins for nothing.
Happy go lucky.
Lewis was on the old engine this weekend, were both on the old engine?
Did Ferrari not use the newest ADUO 2 engine this weekend?
Interesting insight from Lewis.
Congratulations to Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The youngest F1 World Champion EVER! 🏆
Well deserved, very well deserved.
With the current rules you can’t go side by side through multiple corners. Be first at the apex and you can’t just shuffle the other car out.
It’s the rules, I don’t like it but it is what it is.
