Fantastic thought provoking sessions by colleagues from @durham_uni and @DurhamPolice across both days of Conference. Thank you all!
The @uktga has been great! 3 of the @durham_uni team gave talks: @clarissajdh discussed sexual violence and misconduct in unis; and Mandy Marlow/Jo Boyd spoke about their ‘Have A Word’ alcohol training @Humankind_UK for students #UKTGA18 #Durhamdays #humankind #Belfast
SGT Howarth and I had a great time at UKTGA18 talking to people about the work we do here in Durham.

We were delighted to formally receive @nusuk ‘Alcohol Impact’ accreditation award, alongside @durhamSU last night, in recognition of our joint efforts to promote responsible alcohol consumption and to improve students’ welfare.

Have you had a hand though the door tonight??? If you have, you need to make sure you lock your door as we could have been in your house, thieves dont knock! #lockit #halloweenhands
Today, I have had a catch up with the University, have the Durham City PACT at 6pm, have a little helper with me from 7pm, a doorstaff briefing at 9pm and then student patrols from 9:30pm-3am.
So over the last couple of days, (even though it has technically
been rest days) we have attended the POP presentations, a meeting about student safety and attended a meet the detectives event at Durham town hall.....
Lots of visits to students who have had houseparties today and lots of Community protection Warning Notices issued. Please remember your neighbours, keep the noise down!
