🚨 THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST DISTURBING ABUSES OF POLICE SURVEILLANCE EVER 🚨 A father in Amarillo, Texas says he has CHANGED WHERE HIS CHILDREN SLEEP after discovering that a police officer allegedly used law-enforcement surveillance tools to track him for MONTHS. And the details are absolutely insane. Former Amarillo officer Christian Eder allegedly became interested in a female police officer who had previously dated the father. According to court records and the father’s account: 🔴 Eder allegedly searched the father’s license plate through the city’s Flock camera network 76 TIMES between February and June. 🔴 Investigators say there was NO legitimate case or police assignment involving the father or his vehicle that justified those searches. 🔴 Eder allegedly entered bogus law-enforcement reasons for searches, including motor-vehicle theft, hit-and-run, disorderly conduct and “city planning.” 🔴 He’s also accused of searching the father’s NAME twice through the law-enforcement database TLOxp. But it gets even more disturbing. The father says he learned Eder was allegedly using his department-issued phone to remotely view the female officer’s active body-camera and in-car camera feeds to determine where she was. Then one night around 1:00 A.M., the father walked outside to go to the gym and says he saw Eder’s MARKED POLICE CRUISER slowly driving through his apartment parking lot behind his car. The female officer later allegedly told him Eder had mentioned seeing him leave his apartment at that exact time. The father finally TEXTED Eder and told him to back off. Eder allegedly responded: “lol, tough guy… Keep it that way. Have fun, my dude.” 😉 The father eventually went to Internal Affairs. That investigation uncovered the alleged searches, and Amarillo PD FIRED Eder on July 17. But here’s the part that should TERRIFY EVERY AMERICAN: Prosecutors reportedly declined to pursue felony stalking charges. Instead, Eder now faces 78 Class A misdemeanor counts of tampering with a government record. He pleaded not guilty and was released on a single $4,500 bond covering all 78 charges. And because of how those charges work, the father says he was told that the technical “victim” is THE CITY OF AMARILLO, NOT HIM OR HIS CHILDREN. Meanwhile, he says police wouldn’t even give him a description of Eder’s personal vehicles so he could know what cars to watch for, even though Eder allegedly had access to enormous amounts of information about HIM. The father says: “I’ve had to change where my kids sleep in my house. I’ve had to change everything.” Think about this for a second. A system sold to communities as a tool for catching criminals was allegedly turned into a PERSONAL TRACKING SYSTEM by one officer pursuing a romantic interest. Your license plate. Your movements. Your routines. Where you pick up your children. Where you go at night. 76 searches. And according to reporting on the case, it was the father’s complaint that ultimately triggered the internal investigation that exposed what allegedly happened.
