DHS says California has refused ICE detainers and released nearly 24,000 criminal illegal aliens from jail since January 2025.
Those releases carry more than 81,000 criminal charges or convictions. One released by Los Angeles County was convicted of murder and child cruelty.

ELECTION DAY: Florida voters in 7 counties are being rerouted to temporary polling locations after widespread flooding led Gov. Ron DeSantis to sign an emergency order relocating voting sites just one day before the midterms.
Brevard, Highlands, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties are all affected after a low-pressure system dumped heavy rainfall across the state from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2, triggering flash flood warnings and threatening roads, schools and critical infrastructure.
DeSantis declared a state of emergency and authorized county election supervisors to seek approval from Florida's secretary of state for alternative voting arrangements. Polls remain open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters in line when polls close are permitted to cast their ballots.

About 46 million voted early in the 2022 midterms.

🚨 $39 BILLION. BAD PRICES. NOBODY FIXED IT.
The GSA Inspector General found the agency cannot assure federal agencies that its Multiple Award Schedule contracts deliver the lowest overall cost. Agencies spent more than $39 BILLION through the program last fiscal year.
- Pricing methods used on contracts were deficient
- Price information was faulty in all 12 contracts
- The Inspector General has flagged these pricing problems in reports going back to 2019
The Inspector General's verdict: fix the problems before expanding the pilot across the $39 billion program, or cancel it.
