Just in time for Halloween: “HOLLY’S HOBBIES” by #BruceJones and #JohnBolton from TWISTED TALES #7. Bolton is so good at horror.
The cover for the January 1980 issue of HEAVY METAL, based on the short story “Repent Harlequin! said the Ticktockman” by Harlan Ellison, by Don Punchatz
A little early for the holidays, but here’s #Moebius’ “A Tale of Christmas” from the December 1979 issue of HEAVY METAL
“OF GODS AND BONDAGE” by the always stellar #PatBoyette from COSMIC BOOK #1 (1/2)
An amazing painting by #PatBoyette previews a pirate story in a future issue in COSMIC BOOK #1. Too bad this series only lasted an issue!
“UFO”, an #AlexToth three-pager forms COSMIC BOOK #1. Great use of primary colours
First page of “OUTLAW’S HIDEOUT” by #AlWilliamson and #StanLee for QUICK-TRIGGER WESTERN #13
“TOTANGO’S FOLLY” by #PatBoyette from COSMIC BOOK #1. I have really loved getting into Boyette’s art the last few years, and this issue is a real treat for fans of his, as there’s two stories and some great painted art. (1/2)
“ENCOUNTER” by #WallyWood, with letters and colours by #PatBoyette, from COSMIC BOOK #1. Boyette in his intro to the story (included here too) says he believes this to be the last sci-fi work Wood ever did. I love Boyette’s use of colour. A nice final piece by one of the greatest
This is a weird but neat find. THE COSMIC BOOK #1 (1986) by Ace Comics. It has stories by #WallyWood, #PatBoyette, and #AlexToth that I don’t recall seeing elsewhere. The highlight is the Wood story, his last sci-fi work according to Boyette, but his two stories are great as well
“Marooned” by #JoDuffy and #KentWilliams from EPIC ILLUSTRATED #21. One of the real highlight of EPIC is seeing so much of Kent Williams’ art. Duffy is a regular collaborator in these stories, and she does a great job giving him subject matter to go nuts with (1/2)

RIP Sanjulián (Manuel Pérez Clemente), 1941–2026. The Barcelona illustrator used to tell his son, “In every original I paint there is an adventure. I enjoy them and I live them while I make them, so I have had a life full of emotions.”
I was digging in my long boxes today and came across the MAX series THOR: VIKINGS by #GarthEnnis and #GlennFabry. Have been in the mood for some more Ennis so went right to the top of my read pile. Neat to see Fabry do interiors again after focusing so much on covers
