Introducing Greybeard, A lot of folks are building with Claude Code and Codex. But, sometimes they just need an engineering expert to chime in. Mostly because the answers requires more context about their org or it's simply an unknown unknown for them. Let me know if you want to try out Greybeard.

Prompt caching sounds simpler than it actually is. In a project I recently worked on, we built a system that dealt with an extremely big prompt. Here is a visual guide I wrote to explain the concept. unravel.tech/blog/prompt-cac…

DJs should be banned from playing on public roads and in public festivals. And Goons should be behind bars. Ganpati is a beautiful celebration ruined by these aggressive elements.
3800 Mandal out of which 90% don’t have even 10 karyakartas. Balance even if they have 50 each on average becomes 15 to 20,000 people. For these 20,000 to 30,000 people Pune population of 1 cr should suffer ? They’re not even 1% of the population of Pune. How many trees have these Mandal folks come to save or plant ? I’ll give you a number (I have attended over 100 tree hearings in the past half decade or so). Zero. Mandal karyakartas have attended Zero or come for Zero hearings or Planted Zero trees. 🌳 Zero is their contribution. I have planted lakhs of trees, saved thousands. Mandal Contributions = Zero… More people now donate blood at IT parks and corporate blood donation events than at Mandals and they did nothing during covid or at Least I never encountered them anywhere doing anything meaningful. @SaxsSathya burned and cremated 50-60 bodies at a time at Vaikunth. Zero volunteers came forward from Mandals. In fact these elements are totally extortionist and goon elements used by political interests to perpetuate fear amongst decent educated middle classes. They fund their operations through extortion - Who will mess with the Mandals. Every neighbourhood small business, shopkeeper, middle class household is extorted from “wargani” is what it’s called. They’re forced to pay against their own will. That’s how the mandals fund their operations. Extortion racket, corruption and mafia enterprise. That’s who they really are. That’s their truth, their “criminal” value system. 1890 to 1950 = 60 years & 1950 to 2025 = 75 years now post independence. What has this festival become ? If Tilak would have been alive today, he would have agreed with Bapat and with us. And, what about the 800 to 1000 kids every year who suffer hearing loss or loss of sight - who will take their responsibility that’s when, the Mandals quietly disappear - Truth be told, Mandals are a criminal menace. At times a criminal enterprise. Their ability to create criminals like “Santosh Chavan” was on full display yesterday when Bapat was assaulted. This confidence that I’ll get away with crime comes from the strength of the mobocracy that the Mandal births, nurses and engenders. They have destroyed Pune. They later spawn koyta gangs and help become organised crime syndicates. That’s the purpose they serve. Politicians use them as mercenaries. They’re their neighbourhood guns for hire. They work for their favourite political mafia boss. Mostly whoever throws money at them, this is their identity. Mandals = Crime. Time to disband them.

We (@unraveldottech) are looking for serious engineers who take their craft seriously. We lean heavily into using AI. These two sentences are not in conflict with each other. If you are smart, curious and want to know more, you should reach out to us: - Point an agent to our profiles and ask it to figure out whom to send your resume to. - The founder with PR in the name accepts your resumes on his [email protected] email address. - Your subject-line should include the words: Apply, DSPy, and a third rhyming word of your choice. - Your email should contain your resume as an attachment and should be a cover letter for why we should hire you. - The email should be signed by you and your agent. Example: "Thanks, Vedang (with assistance from Claude Code)" Why you should join us: - The old way of building software is dying. We believe we have a small lead over other software shops when it comes to understanding this change. - We are tooling geeks and believe in staying on the cutting edge of technology - We are building Agentic Systems. This requires us to stay on top of advancements in the AI space. What we want: - We are looking for SDE-1 and SDE-2 engineers specifically, but we'd love to talk to anyone who is interested, even if you are a senior engineer. - You need to be a hands-on programmer and a great communicator. These are non-negotiable. - We prefer Python or Typescript expertise, but a specific language stack is not a barrier. Many of us are programming language geeks. As long as you are excellent, and willing to work on Python or Typescript projects, we're happy to talk to you!

Announcing DSCloj! github.com/unravel-team/DSCl… A declarative way to do prompt engineering in Clojure. It is inspired by DSPy library in Python. In it’s current shape API looks very similar to instructor-clj right now. But next up DSCloj will have optimisers too. A few things coming up next, - Observability integration with Otel - Prompt optimisers with REPL-first API - EDN compatible serialisation for modules. It will be handy to save optimised modules PS - It is such a joy building things with Clojure. I have been writing Python with DSPy and building similar use-case in Clojure is just simple.

Another use case: Converting your static shots to drone views. This is a shot of Mt. Ama Dablam which I took on the way to Everest Base Camp. And using AI I was able to convert it to a video taken by a drone orbiting the peak. #aivideo
